To me, the Xperia apps are really amazing!LOL. aahaahaa. this phone looks like a soap. so.. no more ugly square with sharp corners. sony finally follows the trend.
i know you'll change your mind again dear mr heatpipe, you'll say this phone is beautiful. LOL.
Prometheous, 08 Dec 2017Sony must not position the fps at the back. It takes away the charm. And placing the camera fa... morePutting it on the back wouldn't make it different from the current smartphones, they adopt the side fingerprint sensor during the XPERIA Z5 series and it have been only 2 years, they couldn't change the position that fast am I right?
Sony Die Hard Fan, 08 Dec 2017tell me what are the benefits for 18:9 ratio screen?
the bezeless design?
The benefits are
- attractive design phone can gain more customer to buy the phone
- design is completely different from the past xperia
But the design looks like Sony still stick on 16:9 screen ratio and it has small bezel.
Probably people doesnt understand why sony put bezel on top and below, maybe only japanese can understand
-. -, 08 Dec 2017Oo... So the edge design of samsung and botyom bezel design of xiaomi is functional isn't it? ... morebottom bezel isn't by XiaoMi, Sharp had it on their Aquos range since late 2013...
Sony Die Hard Fan, 08 Dec 2017Sony can kill all flagships . in terms of hardware and software thing..
only trolls saying so... moreyou aware that the newly released Sony phones seemed to suffer from the sudden death syndrome, as the likes of some LG models..?
quality seems to be an issue at the moment...
Prometheous, 08 Dec 2017Sony must not position the fps at the back. It takes away the charm. And placing the camera fa... morei'm a user of the Sharp Aquos Crystal and Crystal X since 2014 and the bezels at the bottom does do some justice, such as providing a comfortable place to rest my thumb and to block the camera in case any apps decided to use the camera without my knowledge... taking selfie or using front camera doesn't necessarily means to turn the phone upside-down, used it horizontally all the time... I am still using these phones at the moment, as the newer Aquos model released shocked me with its look-you-in-the-face centre position top front camera... I do not appreciate a notch taking up any screen space...
however, I dearly need a camera upgrade, and I am not looking forward to a common-design phone(s)...
Sharp created and mastered a 'bezel-less' design with no ugly speaker/earpiece grille(s) at the top or bottom, which end up getting filled with dust or dead skin cells over time like the common phones out there...
the only complain I have is the rear firing speaker, which gets muffled if placed over un-flat surface... preferred it to be located at the side(s) instead...
So when others were shifting to 18:9 trend people were complaining about sony not doing it, and 18:9 looks cool. And its not following its called "changing with time" and thats a pretty good move by sony, the phone looks awesome. Also love the curvy designs but the phone with rounded corners os still kinda boxy, though they both gonna look badass in real i bet!
Sony must not position the fps at the back. It takes away the charm. And placing the camera far apart is genius as it will provide better depth detection. Moreover, this design of low bezels is better than what xiaomi and aquos practice as there are equal bezels on top and bottom for better ergonomics and user doesn't have to carry out nonsensical manoeuvres like turning the phone upside down to take a selfie or when doing video call.
Fingerprint scanner at back.. No ways... Not use to it...Side ways is way better.
The glossy back looks ugly bcause the dual camera are far apart, the matte looks great but where is the NFC logo on both devices?
SAO, 08 Dec 2017Wow.. i love the design. I hope they change the apps also, cause the apps design looks old.Which one could you mention it?
To me, the Xperia apps are really amazing!
Anonymous, 07 Dec 2017is 18:9 the new dual camera? No it's much worse. The dual camera may not have significant advantages, but at least it's not a disadvantage.
its Fake, hopefully Sony will continue to innovate ,
2018 might Sony's year, all OEM's will kneel before Sony and say
Hail the King hihihi :D
