Android needs a light version with specifically designed UI elements to run on low res and non touch screens.
For a light OS, SnapDragon 205 coupled with 1GB ram could do pretty amazing stuff.
Just check the Windows 10 running Lumia 650, running on SnapDragon 210, it's pretty decent, while servicing a mj h higher-end screen and performing heavier tasks.
Thinking of it, Windows 10 would have been cool on such a phone if it wasn't dying already... a little too late I guess.

Check your facts again.
They should launch the qwerty or slide phone with android go. This phone is for blind nokia fans club.

Okay I say pure crap but I have an Android phone, obviously, as Android is the only choice for customization, and I pretty like Android's customization. I have a lot of scripts running on my phone, to send text messages, reply to Facebook comments, etc. Running Linux (Android) on a mobile phone is great, and it is better than Symbian because of this.
Why I say Android is crap because it is to power hungry. As you said, Symbian could multitask on mono-core 200MHz CPUs of 20 years ago. This is impossible on Android because of the absence of optimization. Android is so much not optimized, this is incredible. You need quad-core CPU at 3Ghz and a powerful GPU to switch between Facebook and WhatsApp. This is crazy.
What I would like: Symbian to come back from dead, and be Open Source like Android so the customization level will be as good as Android, and not use stupid Java virtual machine to run apps like Android. Symbian was running native code. Google is so dumb they really don't optimize their OS. They are very lazy and stupid and lack experience in the mobile world, and they don't make any effort. For example even in latest Android there is still no theme (theming was available on Symbian far long ago).
Themes is a simple solution to have a more optimized OS because OEMs will not need to make crappy launchers to make the OS at their taste.
Because of all this lag of Android, I am sure if someone have the money and a good marketing strategy they could easily eject Android from the market. Google have a lot of money so they can force their crappy OS. But money isn't everything.
What is that smart feature OS? Glad they have upgraded from S30/S40. But still, want to see Symbian re-imagined. The classic feature phones deserve more smartness, power, apps, and multitasking of course. For what I loved my Symbian back then is specially because it could do multi-task, like I could literally pause my game and reply to a text and get back to the game instantly. Even if this one does have decent hardware, the software support is too limited. Symbian was already feature-rich at that time, thousands of apps, games, social apps, browsers, customizations, java support and all. Just bring it back from the dead. I would love to use opera/UC, facebook, maps, whatsapp and still get days-long battery life.
If not Symbian, I think Google should develop a super lite, tiny version of their android, with specially designed apps, specially for feature phones. These phones are limited these days, but surely not dead, even as a backup phone, people love to keep one. I still prefer the symian Snake btw -_-
Want very much. Now I just need to get Neo's sunglasses.
Yujikon, 25 Feb 2018I hope the it even gets a successor with high end specsi think the cover makers of these phones should be worried
I hope the it even gets a successor with high end specs
Want it....
But I think the american version used in Matrix, actually had spring loaded mechanism.
The 7110 was hotter though, in my mind, it came with WAP and spring loaded mechanism.
And the 8810 was a nice one, as well...
I love it. I have the MicroMax V407 which has same specs and concept. It totally works and even has WhatsApp (crucial app to have)
But the lack of front camera is very sad as this prevent video chats.
Still, WhatsApp calling would be very useful even without video.

Nokia please remake ur popular phone with android--- specially N8, PV808
I love it!
Anonymous, 25 Feb 2018give me a should if the N-Gage makes it backThe n-gage was an awful device, don't know what Nokia was thinking releasing that thing.
The 8110 was my 1st phone back in the day

Cool phone!
I would prefer Sirocco or at least 8800 Arte with its nice build quality, not that plastic banana. Its not like they need to make it from metal. You can make amazing quality plastic device that will look and feel nice in hand and keep the price low.
I would seriously rather pay 10$ more for 8800 Arte or Sirocco and keep this phone home as backup device.
