GPU Turbo tech is a cheap trick of rendering game content at lower resolution and overclocking GPU.

Try going jnto settings, scroll all the way down to system update, then check for uodates to se of an update is available to you.
Or try downloading the Huawei firmware finder from Google play store to see if an updaye is available for your model, but i recommend reading instructions for it on the internet before using it.
Or try contacting customer support via the Hicare app!

LG Superfan, 16 Jul 2018GPU I agree is bad but CPU is great comparable to snapdragon 835 (which it was made to compete with)No it doesn’t. If there GPU are bad then S9 plus Exyons 9810 using same GPU (Mali G72 MP18) and still faster eve in gaming performance are better so.

Anonymous, 16 Jul 2018i thought apple updates were to make their phones slower trying to coax you to buy a new phone No. Apple updates to inform you that it's time to replace your old and faulty battery, not the phone. Not to mention that Huawei phones including its flagships, have the most apps compatibility issues comparing to other companies. That's the problem of not using the mainstream hardware instead.

What about their tablets? They use the same CPU/GPU as their phones.

I can't understand only one thing. It has been a problem with huawei for quite a while now. How can a Kirin 659 smartphone be able to handle the gpu turbo while the 950 and 955 doesn't? (Honor 8, Huawei P9 and P9 plus) The same question goes for the Oreo update...
