Fongy, 16 Nov 2011without being too much of a sceptic - I'll believe it when I see it...
the only reason I say ... moreHahahaha!
You forgot the following:
1. The current XPlay has only less than 400MB internal memory. They should increase it to 2GB minimum for maximum gaming experience. This is a pain for ALL XPlay owners
2. eXMOR for Bravia (not ALL machines with Bravia engine has the XMOR technology)
3. Better Music Player with Equalizer. The sound is so bad compared to the current players. I guess this is also a pain for the rest of the Android Phones (not sure). Good thing there are players out there in the Android Market that mitigates this gap.
If all of the above is gained, I think it will add better Customer Experience.
Who knows... the next Sony Phone (sorry, no more Sony Ericsson :D) might be able to handle the above.
hi_GSMArena, 16 Nov 2011How about SONY ERICSSON ARC?? Is this included on the list?! or ARC = ARC S already???Arc is included.
Please read the article again with your eyes open.
Arc S software is the same with Arc or with any Experia phone so it should get the update as well. The only difference with the original arc is its Specs.
The article DID say ALL EXPERIA lineup for 2011.
Please read the article again.
I agree with another poster. The UI of ICS is a hodgepodge mess which is brute ugly, and clearly shows that the geek kids who work at Google have absolutely no sense of aesthetics or style.
The best thing about ICS is the under-the-hood stuff such as the GPU acceleration, but as for the UI I think it is time for SE to S.E.X. (Sony Ericsson Xperia ;) ) it up a bit and make it look like something more professional than the present incarnation of what a few Google geek kids thought was kewl.
What about the Xperia X10.? It was once the company flagship device, it deserves a 4.0 upgrade.
Anonymous, 16 Nov 2011Xperia play in total sold is about 1 million till now out of which 200k in US and rest in glob... moreIt's amazing how literal and personal people take some things!
I'm sure it sold more than TEN units, bit even Sony admitted it had severely underperformed, hence the slashing of the price withina couple of months!
It never stood a chance with such outdated specs...
And that is why I want to seea decent sequel!
I wish people would read my posts properly!
hi guys i stay in south Africa, when are we getting the 2.3.4 update? tempted of rooting my phone(thinking).tired of the 2.3.3,m using xperia neo....
way to go sony :] been very happy with the updates coming to my Arc, still enjoying all the new features in 2.3.4 :O
Seriously, these people mentioning about x10, x10 mini, x10 mini pro they wont be getting this, the reason is they are outdated handsets and well since 2010. SE also clearly stated they wont be supporting them handsets anymore so please accept it that no more updates for your phones!!!
If you want ICS grab yourself a bargain Xperia now, they are going cheap as they will be the last SE branded phones and they are awesome i have to admit (Got myself a Neo V a couple of weeks ago and is amazing!).
Awesome news from SE! Can't wait to see ICS running on my Arc. I'm pretty sure they'll change the UI a little bit to make it familiar to current Xperia users. People have mixed opinions about the looks of the original ICS, but we all know that Sony likes to polish the looks in their software. Fantastic service SE, keep those updates coming! Love it!
DIMS88, 16 Nov 2011what about the x8, i mean the x10 mini pro gets it but not the x8 ??!!that's not x10 mini pro, that is xperia pro it is a new phone.
red, 16 Nov 2011wow my SE xperia mini pro will get the ugly ICSDont worry...SE or shud i say Sony will make YOUR Ugly ICS -_- an Xperian ICS ;)
