Anonymous, 27 Dec 2018But it doesn't worth the price as is not OLEDIn general, LCD displays will still look great long after most OLEDs will have dimmed, color shifted, and unevenly worn. LCD is a wiser choice for a long term phone. When grading refurbished handsets, LCDs are measured by for function and scratches. OLEDs are graded by the amount of burn-in.

That's true, 720p is bad for OLED when with LCD it looks very sharp. That's why AMOLED screen resolutions are so high compared to LCD to compensate the Pentile screen tech.
Here is photo of LCD vs AMOLED 720p screen https://us.v-cdn.net/6030075/uploads/userimages/gs4-vs-one-macro.jpg
I have literally no idea who and why buys someone an iPhone XR. This junk is a backward to 2012. If I’m a hardcore Apple fan know as is...p i would definitely go for iPhone X over iPhone XR.
A dual camera, Samsung AMOLED over LG’s trash LCD, dual camera, 2k Display, HDR10 display, 3D Touch. Much smaller bezels and it’s even cheaper these days.
I really can not understand some people!?

I've lost count how many times I've said that I'm not complaining about the resolution, rather how absurd the price is for that resolution. And once again, you've assumed incorrectly. I'd take an XS or XS Max in a heartbeat. At this moment in time I'm quite neutral between the 'sides'.

Then it was very likely AMOLED phone. i just explained this, AMOLED screen needs better ppi to look as sharp as LCD, edge of texts are biggest problem with pentile AMOLED which makes the screen look unsharp.
"For a given size and resolution specification the PenTile screen can appear grainy, pixelated, speckled, with blurred text on some saturated colors and backgrounds when compared to RGB stripe color.[35] This effect is understood to be caused by the restriction of the number of subpixels that may participate in the image reconstruction when colors are highly saturated to primaries."
here are more about the subject https://www.pcper.com/reviews/Mobile/Google-Pixel-Review-Life-after-Nexus/Display-Analysis-Diamond-PenTile-Problem
"The Pixel's AMOLED panel uses what is known as a PenTile layout; a pattern where some of the subpixels are shared, so actual RGB resolution is lower than the rated 1080x1920 if you are comparing to the RGB stripe layout of LCD displays. This sub-pixel layout creates (to this purist, anyway) a worst-case scenario for text clarity at all but the highest resolutions - particulary as all subpixels in this particular display panel are diamond-shaped"
see Pixel phone has 441 ppi, so people really need to stop looking numbers without understanding them or comparing two different tech. But this really doesn't surprise me, android boys are paper specs people and always going to be.

We have pixel dense screens that are above human eyesight... moreWell my old phone had a 294ppi and in many instances I could certainly see the pixels. The average user won't care but picky people like me would love to see a 1440p screen. In this case it's not about just specs, but about the price:specification ratio.

We have pixel dense screens that are above human eyesight. Your eyes can't see beyond 300 ppi at normal viewing distance so having a 326ppi screen is perfectly fine and you will have a hard time being able to tell any difference in sharpness.
most 2k screens (especially OLED) have much better colour accuracy and more importantly, contrast, and that's where we can still see the difference
iPhone XR has a great screen. It's one of the most colour accurate for an LCD. The phone is overpriced though.

No they won't, you can't spot the difference from photos any better, only thing where you can spot the difference is text, but LCD screen always do great with text, AMOLED tend to make edge of text not sharp, that's why AMOLED screen has to have very high resolution to compensate pentile tech. This is the reason why XR screen looks so good.
