Their first ever edge screen with really better use for the edge is The Note Edge, not S6 Edge (I know this is about their Galaxy S lineup, but it should be mentioned that they pioneered it on Note Edge not on S6). They also left out that feature from S3 wherein the front camera monitors your face orientation so the screen orientation follows. Likewise, the split-screen view they introduced in Note 2 and then the pop-up apps introduced with Note 4/Note Edge, which both were found in succeeding Galaxy S devices. Lastly, the capacitive buttons, which I believe is part of the UI.
People call these bloatware but for me they make perfect sense- I use pretty much all of it and I find them very useful. I am no longer using a Samsung device in protest of not having an option of flat screen on a Note device, but those times I was I am finding their UI features quite helpful in productivity. Yes, these features lag their devices but not so much since the Note 4. Yes, these features take up RAM and battery, but in rather negligible way and in such that it is outweighed by the benefits.
Samsung should out a separate infographic for the Note series as it has an entirely different set of productivity suites infused with its UI.
i think LG UI is way better than samsung
Furiounx, 05 Jan 2019If you've ever used an Apple device with latest iOS then you'd know how polished their OS is...It may be polished for your liking but for me it's not user friendly at all.
Anonymous, 07 Jan 2019Drop it? They didnt even introduce it yet. There is no phone yet that uses it. Do you mean the... moreWell you mustn't be aware. It's been rolled out to S9 and S9+ models so yes, it has been introduced. And no I don't mean Experience. That's what I have now and it's perfect but in my opinion they ruined the aesthetic with One UI. It's disgusting imo.
GMX, 06 Jan 2019Google Pixel UI polished? That's the funniest thing I've heard all year.Glad, I made you laugh :D
Laugh Out Loud :D :D
Furiounx, 06 Jan 2019Yes. Pixels are fluid. Samsung is not. Like goddam can't they just drop the stupid unaesthetic... moreDrop it? They didnt even introduce it yet. There is no phone yet that uses it. Do you mean their previous Experience UI?
I LOVE the fact that buttons and choices will be presented in the bottom half of the screen. I have been waiting for this since forever. Its such a pain to press anything by the top of the screen.
I also absolutely love the last Samsung UI so I hope they wont change it much.

Ramdroid101, 04 Jan 2019Best Android UI Best OEM apps as well. I seriously don't know the fuzz over vanilla Android !!Yup. Vanilla Android is extremely frustrating to use for someone using Samsung devices as daily drivers. So many simple things you never noticed gets overly complicated. Still feels like nerd software designed by nerds for nerds. "But this is the logical way of doing it. We've checked the maths!" :)

I thought sony's android ui is crap until I used nexus, xiaomi and samsung. I use samsung s7 then s9 now because the hardware quality is indeed better than sony.
Touch Wiz
Grace UX
Samsung Experience and now
"One UI". Always better than earlier.
Samsung UI is always best. I buy Samsung because of UI.
One UI best UI.
Lyndino, 04 Jan 2019I for one like the contrast between black / white over the soft palette of iPhone's greyscale ... moreSo plain but so effective...
Anonymous, 04 Jan 2019who cares? you can just install 1 of the millions of icon packs that are available on the play... moreIcons contribute a huge part to aesthetics, and people want to have the aesthetics perfected out of the box without wasting space on sketchy, horrid icon packs. That's just my opinion though.
sweaf, 04 Jan 2019You can change the icons quite easily. A few taps, done. That's not the point. They're destroying the almost perfect UI aesthetics they had.
