I dont know these issues and problems you have. You were maybe unlucky and got a bad model out of millions that were made. I have Redmi Note 5 Pro and dont have issues like that your talking about.
I get updates with it and there is even hope to get Android Pie on it soon. While i have had Samsaung and LG phones on the same price range that maybe get only 1 update in 2 years and thats mostly a security update.

Previously owned a MOTO G3. Never had a problem in more than 2 years of my usage.
They're launching redmi note 7 as a note 7 pro in india. Shame

Well well... Xiaomi India launching Redmi Note 7 as Redmi Note 7 Pro. This image is actually Redmi Note 7 not Redmi Note 7 Pro. Probably SD636. Who would have guessed?! lol Such a xiaomi move.
I will get galaxy A50.

This is the mid-range phone to get, with respectable specs all around. Great job from Xiaomi, the mid-range supremo.
