And I think that having a high end mid range processor with all other great features of the Mi 9T isn't as bad as you think . Yes, the phone will get slower over time but not as you think as you can continuously clean up your phone's ram and storage and update it and you'll feel that it is fast and snappy as it was at first when you bought it until you switch to a newer one.
This phone is also considered cheap if you compared it to the Galaxy A70 , A80 that are more expensive than it and the former even uses a lower end processor.
The phone is expensive only when you compare it to the chinese version but because it's manufactured in china , it must be much cheaper as there's no importing or taxes.
dsp4, 12 Jun 2019The fastest SoC isn't just about gaming. As phones age, fast processors turn into midrange pro... moreUnless you want to use your phone for more than 10 years, your opinion is invalid. Chipsets can sustain their max performance at least 5 years. My i7 2nd gen laptop is more than 8 years old and still run like a champ. Only thing shows its age is HDD.

All the rest components are way better: amoled with fingerprint, better cameras, bigger screen, popup camera, nfc, special soc for sound, better body. Now, all this things cost a litlle bit more so being at the same price with Poco is a great thing. If you really want it, just wait a month or two.

This is a midranger that sells for ... moreIf you're talking about the SoC, Snapdragon 730 was just announced 2 months ago, isn't that the latest? The only phone with that SoC is Samsung's A80. Even SD855 is already 5 months old (Z5 Pro GT). There really isn't any competition unless you're comparing with Poco F1 / Honor Play which is last year's release.
Eliezerjk, 12 Jun 2019That's exactly why a lot of people is complaining. Poco F1 used (by then) top of the line proc... moreSD730 is no slouch as the real-life performance should be better than S710. It also borrows some features of SD855 such as tensor accelerator, CV-ISP and WiFi 6 support. Of course, in raw performace, it loses but it isn't really worse than S845. Other than that, 9T has no-notch, small chin, OLED panel, glass back, better battery life and camera, eMMc 5.1 (srsly Xiaomi?) over F1's big notch and chin, IPS panel, plastic back, worse battery life and camera, UFS 2.1. That's some decent value proposition. F1's still good value tho.
Mi 9T Pro could be released on a later date because there was a listing in a Dutch website on 11 June. I have a feeling it would be more expensive than Mi 9T, perhaps 420 EUR? IDK. Otherwise, Xiaomi is skimping on Europeans. My theory for that happening would be that they are pushing the hardest in their home market and have low stock.
Will there be an 8GB ROM/ 128 GB RAM option offered in Europe? Thank you in advance.
DrakeX, 12 Jun 2019Mi 9T is priced EXACTLY the same with Poco F1 during Europe launch and y'all still complaining? The Poco F1 had the latest hardware available at the time. This is a midranger that sells for more than other, more potent phones. It's basically Xiaomi's Pixel 3a.

As phones age, fast processors turn into midrange processors, and midrange processors turn into slow processors. The $70 price difference is not a lot to have your phone last an extra year or so.
The K20 and Mi 9T aren't even that cheap considering how they perform. They score aroun 218K on Antutu, while year-old phones like the Mix 2S, Mi 8 and Poco F1 score around 275k, and sell for 30-40$ less. Not a good deal at all IMHO.
That's really disappointing. The regular K20/9T is an unremarkable phone that's priced too high considering it is slower than the Poco F1 or Mi Mix 2S, both of which sell for much cheaper.
I hope they're not planning to have the global version of the K20 Pro rebranded as the Pocophone F2. I hate that silly name.
Anonymous, 12 Jun 2019Do you have any proof the mi9t has more lte bands? I don't see how you can have more bands tha... moreI'm pretty sure m9t will have band 20 since it's aimed for European market. Selling devices without band 20 in Europe is like suicide... Xiaomi has done this since a while now. I remember that redmi note 4 snapdragon version has different band support for different regions (chinese, india, and global). Other hardware specs are practically identical.

I don't see how you can have more bands than the k20 If it is only a name change like all the sites mentioned. If that is the case then the software for mi9t should be applicable to the k20, but I seriously doubt that.
No Mi9T Pro?...cant understand Xiaomi/Redmi decisions, people will still buy the K20 Pro on China sites, just with a different name and less LTE bands, that didnt stopped them with the Poco F1, why not give the people the same thing on 2019?

Was hoping this would be a little cheaper. It'll probably drop 15-20% or so in the next 2-3 months. So I may wait. The Redmi Note 7 dropped that much. Was around $260 USD on Amazon originally now it's around $215 USD.

The only two true features that the pro version has while the regular one lacks are :
1-better gaming experience so, if you are a hardcore gamer who wants to play graphic intenstive games at the highest graphic settings for a long time and don't want ( almost ) any frame drops and the phone doesn't heat up.
2-Dual band GPS. if you want the fastest and most accurate GPS performance.
The regular version has also some advantages over the pro version which are :
1-Better battery life, due to the lower end SoC which has lower clock speed and better power efficiency and the difference in CPU speed is enough for anyone as it's roughly the same as the SDM845.
2-It's cheaper so, you can save your money for something else.
