Anonymous, 18 Sep 2019Hahaha cheap and greedy Apple finally moving up in the world.. Android has been using Corning ... more"The office of Wendell Weeks, Corning's CEO, is on the second floor, looking out onto the Chemung River. It was here that Steve Jobs gave the 53-year-old Weeks a seemingly impossible task: Make millions of square feet of ultrathin, ultrastrong glass that didn't yet exist. Oh, and do it in six months. The story of their collaboration—including Jobs' attempt to lecture Weeks on the principles of glass and his insistence that such a feat could be accomplished—is well known." - https://www.wired.com/2012/09/ff-corning-gorilla-glass/

im not a ignorant like 99% of crApple fannyboys who think crApple is the best - it isnt, is just a overpriced company, and people keep thinking overpriced means top of the line or the best, cause is overpriced...well, sorry to give fannyboys bad news: overprice dont mean that, just mean you are blind to give some greedy company your money and they keep playing and joke with them in front of your eyes.
crApple slogna just need to be: "the more you pay, the less we give you", cause is what they keep doing. just think of it...meeeh
I thought apple is gonna use sapphire glass for their future products?
I don't think anyone thought glass making for portable devices will become such profitable enterprise.

Anonymous, 18 Sep 2019Hahaha cheap and greedy Apple finally moving up in the world.. Android has been using Corning ... moreEither English isn't your first language, or you have comprehension issues. The article isn't about when Apple started using Corning. As a matter of fact, the article has stated that Apple has been using Corning's glass since the first iteration of their iPhone. Second, Android is an OS, not a phone so there's no way that Android has been using a glass. If you meant Android phones, then your claim that they've been using Corning since the Bronze Age is also wrong. FACTS! Do you even know when the Bronze Age happened?

You are wrong. Sapphire breaks more easily than glass!
It's a harder material so it's more difficult to scratch but also more likely to break.
You are not likely to drop a watch! you are more likely to scratch it hence it makes sense to put sapphire on an apple watch.
HappyAndroidUser, 18 Sep 2019Bruh, dear Apple if you are reading, pay me only 10,000 and I will give you milion ideasif crApple is reading your comment, sure they pay for your ideas, but they only give you like 1,000 bucks, make a patent from your ideas and then earn millions with it!
thats how crApple works,,,asking for 10.000 is too much for them to pay, they can have it for free, or stealing them and make them theirs so...dont worry with crApple, you dont want their unfair and mudy money.
