I can literally buy a Chinese equivalent with the same components for half the price.

A quantum encryption chipset takes advantage of quantum mechanics to generate random numbers more effectively, whereas quantum computing is about using quantum states to process binary data.

But basically it means that the communication is carried out it with quantum entangled photons or electrons so that any attempts of eavesdropping would result in quantum decoherence and loss of information. So you cannot eavesdrop on communication. Physically.

This is not what "Quantum encryption" means !!
Yet again, this industry is skewing things just for advertising, inflating numbers beyond what they really are left and right. Quad Bayer, Depth Sensor, Camera count, Core counts, Storage vs RAM, crackable screen as feature etc.
The number #1 thing I want in a new phone is HONESTY.
I just added Samsung to my list of brands NOT to buy, right after Xiaomi.

Might be something as simple as a really small parallel circuits where they count on quantum tunneling effect to get randomness, that's the simplest and "unlimited use" (unlike decaying materials) way I see of using quantum mechanic to generate random numbers at room temperature without complicated setup...

Now that I read the article, diode and camera probably mean they are using the double slit experiment and use the randomness of photons scattering on their wave function to make data, of course the "center bulbe" have the most probabilities of being there, but with a simple algorithm it can be flatten compared to the rest of the pattern, sound plausible.
Of course both those way of obtaining randomness through quantum effect are totally different from how quantum computer operate.

Current quantum computers are 95% massive cooling systems to bring specialized chips down to near-absolute-zero temperatures and isolate them from the slightest interference.
Did Samsung just advance the technology 100 years ahead and put it in a smartphone, or are they just putting meaningless words into marketing? Your answer determines your intelligence.

Highly doubt it uses any real quantum computing measures, nonetheless this is good for people worried about privacy/security or for people who work in the intelligence and security community. Kudos to Samsung for offering an affordable option.
