This whole "see throgh" is just stupid. It just goes to show how many idiots are out there. Benefits of IR photography far outweigh the minor drawbacks. I really would be interested in an ir enabled camera phone. I paid a lot of $ to have my dslr professionally converted to an it camera. A phone with such capabilities is highly desired. Just google ir photography if you are not familiar with it

1.Oneplus launch ir camera, 2. photographers gets interested in new oneplus, everyone else in IR photography and oneplus, 3.oneplus shut the feature down because people feel unsecure after you can see them hiding iphone under tshirt, 4. people find out how to do it manually or with software on other phones anyway while photographers continue using their full frame/apsc camera (and multiple lens) with IR capability and more get interested in getting their camera's IR removed, 5. world is not the same anymore and oneplus lost big chance to increase their sales.
btw is there any regulation on ir cameras? if there would be you wouldn't be able to get to remove filter on your camera... someone will bring it back for sure and with a lot of ads.
