So did Motorola just low-key kill the Android One support of their phones? Last time I checked they had One phones with Android One software and now there's no mention of Android one in any of their recent phones...?

Anonymous, 16 Jun 2020Every Indian should know that Motorola is a Chinese company now.Motorola is owned by Lenovo, but, so what? Don't understand.. Moto have good, clean software, similar to Pixel, or Nokia phone, just with couple options build in more (also option to remove search bar from home screen, without need to change launcher for that).. OnePlus? That OEM is also Chinese.. In India, most seling smartphone brand is Xiaomi, can you guess from what country is Xiaomi?
If is phone, model of rhe phone, software, battery design, screen quality, and the price ia good, doea not matter to much, from what country is or where is made.
We are in 2020, in Android world, Chinese OEMs are in top 5, world wide, fact.
You can always go for Samsung, LG (Korea), or Sony (Japan), but.. Thats it, other OEMs, like HTC, like Nokia, like you wrote, Motorola, like Blackberry, like Alcatel... Are owned by dompany from China.

[deleted post]We really don't have any alternative to Chinese phone. Samsung is there but their processors are weak. They used Exynos 9611 in m30,m30s,m31,m31s. Many people can't pay a premium of rupees3000/4000 to buy it.

Sun Sand, 16 Jun 2020Couldn't they simply have a corner dot (notch) to put the camera in, even pricey phs go it!! ... moreWell they have something like that, it's a Moto G8 Power, people are hapoy with that phone.
If you wanna same stuff, just better, Moto Edge is for you, or Edge Plus if you need top Qualcomm SoC. G8 Power even have lower price, than this one.

They still make good (not great) phones. The edge+ is a great deal if you get it for 100$ cheaper.

Davy Jones, 16 Jun 2020What is the purpose of having that pop up camera with those thick bezelsTo show someone that you have pop up camera, nothing more. Anyway, it's a cheap price, with good SoC, most of the phones in this price have similar botton, but without pop up selfie cam, here, even the software is good, no duplicate apps, no ads, etc.
