ericwang, 20 Nov 2020No,China currently have the best smartphone battary industry. Not only Chinese own company(CATL... moreCompanies use more than this for computers.
Apple, Sony, Lg and Google do not have it because they do not want too.
Any of them know how to deal.
Batteries being made in factories in China changes nothing. They are there just because it is way cheaper than being in South Korea.
My 2012 Dell has 95W. Imagine current laptops.
iOS.Never.Again, 20 Nov 2020What are you taking about?
One can still buy a great phone in that price range.
Plenty of ... moreIn 2013-2014 you could have the best phones for this price.
Note 4, Z3, G3, Moto Maxx, One M8.
Now with $600 you do not get the best phones of 2020.
Do not compare phones with tons of cuts like S20 FE, K30 Pro, X50 to those $900+ ...
ahh.I am in dilemma.
I think this is the perfect time to purchase mi10T but as I heard the rumours from sd875, I am just hardly keeping myself for not to buy sd865 and wait for sd875.
I am currently using redmi note 5 for around 3 years (bought days after release) and quite disappointed that miui12 didnt come:( If I could get miui12, I know I had excitement to keep my phone untill sd875 Poco f3 comes..
lets see
AnonD-923722, 20 Nov 2020Yeah, and it will be over a $1000 even for the cheapest model/entry level model/base storage ... moreThat’s right!
I can simply answear the questions as working in supply chain
1. No more 4G flagship/flagship killer will be made by Chinese company
(Mi/Redmi/OPPO/Oneplus/Realme/Vivo/IQOO/Huawei/Honor....)
2.Battary life is OK for 100+w charging
When I use 18&22.5W fast charging, someone say:unsafe,uneco-friendly,battary life problem, now enter level phone have 18&22.5w charging
When I use 40W fast charging, someone say:unsafe,uneco-friendly,battary life problem. Now most mid range phone have 30-40w charging
When I use 65W fast charging, someone say:unsafe,uneco-friendly,battary life problem. Now most high end phone have 65w charging.
But currently all of them running well, never face a single problem.
Next year most flagships will have 120-125w charging,in tje end of year we may see 180w charging fullfill 4000mah battary in 10mins.
3.Telephoto lens price drop quickly, next year most mid range phone can have 3 times optical 8mp telephoto lens(the one on K30Pro zoom version)or 5times 8mp telephoto lens(the one on mi10 Lite zoom version)
Flagship will have custom telephoto like 10times or 5times with bigger sensor.
But for enter and low end level phone,we still will see lots of marco and depth sensor

We don't want 100W ... moreWe already have bigger batteries.
We already have better battery life while running high refresh rate displays.
Battery health is already taken into consideration while designing these fast charging technology.
Twin cell batteries stacked together doesn't waste space.
Phone batteries at this point: *Angry, painful electrical screams*
We don't want 100W fast charging... give us bigger batteries, better battery life. Battery health in the long term matters more than saving another 15-20 minutes on a full charge.
What really should be done is something like the Asus ROG Phone 3's solution..a really huge 6000 mAh battery with 30W charging and software battery settings which helps in preserving the battery health.
And this superfast fast charging tech has a downside on the battery capacity since two of them are usually stacked inside the phone to charge the batteries parallely which wastes a lot of space inside the phone.
Isn't it time to scrap these slow arms?
Greenarrays could design a more powerful mobile chipset using their advanced design. They have a history with sea of processors, industry lowest energy, internet of things which a version of a mobile chipset would be good for. At the moment, they contract design custom chips with their simplified ultra low energy designs. Using the latest manufacturering processes with a streamlined advanced design, could result in a mobile chipset many times more cpu performance, and lowest end smart phone processors, and feature phone processors. $20-$2 phones maybe possible. $100 feature phones. These people are getting quite old. So, this is a good way to wrap up a long successful run.
Anonymous, 20 Nov 2020These companies will make millions replacing batteries before october/2021.
But according ... moreNo,China currently have the best smartphone battary industry. Not only Chinese own company(CATL,ATL,BYD etc)but also Samsung SDI and LG set their factory and lab in China.
100W+ fast charging need high rate cell for smartphone battary.
That's why Apple and Samsung do not have 100w+ fast charging. Just like Samsung stick on terrible ultrasonic Under display fingerprint scanerfor two years, while all Chinese phone company use the more better optical under display fingerprin scaner made by Goodiex.
Well everything is fine but how about using a77 cores as efficiency cores at 1.8ghz??
Anonymous, 20 Nov 2020Qualcomm is not stupid.

One can still buy a great phone in that price range.
Plenty of budget flagships from All brands available at around 600$ price.
AnonD-923722, 20 Nov 2020Yeah, and it will be over a $1000 even for the cheapest model/entry level model/base storage ... moreQualcomm is not stupid.
If they made a cpu that can easily use both 4G and 5G modems like 855/855+, they would lose much money because there is no 5G in Latin America, Africa and many parts of Asia yet.
Do not blame the 5G.
Blame the huge screens with 120/144Hz that demand much more power to work, ultra wide/"zoom" cameras, CPUs that are much more powerful than necessary geeks demand more power just because of games, more than 1 battery inside the phone for faster charging, reverse Qi charging, 12/16Gb ram when not even 100 apps open take 4GB, faster memory to open app 0,01s quicker.
Few years ago, you could buy great phone for $500-600.
Now $500-600 is the price of the pieces alone of current phones.
These companies will make millions replacing batteries before october/2021.
But according to haters, other do not use two cells and 50/60/80/100/120W because they do not know how to do it and not because they have zero interest.
LOL !!!!
Any company that makes electronic knows how to handle this, especially those that made or still make laptops.
Android Authority, 20 Nov 2020Xiaomi and Oppo for sure getting 120W and 125W proprietary charging respectively along with th... moreSo glad to be part of the premium ecosystem of Android where one can get standard 100W non proprietary charging.
Competing ecosystem users are stuck with stone-age fast charging tech.
Yeah, and it will be over a $1000 even for the cheapest model/entry level model/base storage version.
Phone prices have gotten too high nowadays. Consumers are sometimes forced to pay more for features they don't necessarily need or use.
100W will just destroy phone batteries quickly. Overheating. 30 - 65W is enough.
Huge camera sensors and huge tech are great, but you need to have the Quality to make up for it. As even the Giant sized sensor and large camera bumps that cause earthquakes from Samsung and Huawei doesn't produce better photos than the small sized sensor and bumps of the Iphones and Pixels.
Phones will keep getting bigger, thicker and heavier. Because more tech putted in, and needs space for 5G, and larger battery to power them up. If you wanna be like Iphone 12 mini, you gotta get very bad battery life. I think Pixel 5 is the best size for most, at just 6 inches, you get an 4000mah battery with less than 8.5mm thickness.
I hope qualcomm sells the 4G version of the SD 875, as 865 is what makes phones reach $1200 in price, as not all regions need 5G yet.
I hope all phone makers sell the 4G version of their phones too. Since 5G is just useless if you are unlucky and you will end up paying more. MMwave antenna + Sub 6Ghz antenna + 5G modem + 5G software needs at least $150 or more, it is useless unless you live in an 5G area.
Hope flagship killer brands like Poco and Oneplus makes amazing products again. The Oneplus 6/6T/7/7/7T Pro and the Poco X3/F1 was such an hit to the market because of their features to price ratio. But now the Poco F2 Pro and Oneplus 8/8T/8 Pro aren't that value again, hope they consider to make amazing products again, cause not all people need the latest and greatest. Realme this year sucks, especially with the Realme X50 Pro and the Realme X3 Superzoom as well as their midrange phones. They are overpriced and have less features. Same goes for the Oneplus Nord N10 and N100, garbage phones and overpriced.
Hope brand like Oneplus, Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo Poco, Realme get their image processing right. Their hardware is top notch, but their software isn't consistent, which is a bit of an bummer.
And also, STOP USING THOSE GIMMICK MACRO AND DEPTH CAMERAS
Hope all makers take note. As more, bigger, heavier, pricier and thicker doesn't necessarily mean an better phone. Hope we see more flagship killers next year.

Realme will release 125W first ,then Find X3
I think the Digital chat station mean'five Chinese company' smartphone',not including samsung galaxy s21 series.
Here is the five snartphone with sn875 might release at Q1 2021
Mi11 seires,Oppo Find 3 series,Realme ACE series(yes,OPPO give their Ace series to realme in next year, the Realme X Pro series downgrade to mid range,no more Realme X50Pro successor with sn8 series chipset),Vivo X60 Pro+ and IQOO 7 series
Maybe Redmi K40Pro also can launch at the end of Q1 2021
I so doubt if Samsung and OnePlus would utilize the 100W charging. I can easily bet that it would be Xiaomi who did that.
Xiaomi and Oppo for sure getting 120W and 125W proprietary charging respectively along with this USB PD 100W charging.
