Anonymous, 17 Jan 2021S22 won't have a charging port, calling it now. They are running out of features to remove.I would not be surprise.

If phones bootloops, you will be forced to send to the OEM.
Because without usb port, you cant connect to computer and try software repair.
This can bring much money for them.

Portless Meizu and Vivo phones never saw daylight. Gladly ...

TheAlienNextDoor, 17 Jan 2021Wow, Samsung has really done a number on you. Do you remember, or were you even around, way... moreThis article is about S21 series vs S20 series, and even if they removed things, it's still cheaper, and I don't work at Samsung no need to get overly excited like your life depends on it.
I think you should buy a S5 and put the latest custom ROM on it if you're into that or just buy the midranger since the faster chipset is useless to you and you want features flagships had in 2014...
Every flagship is about twice the price they were compared to 2014, but they're more powerful, have better cameras and other new things, I don't know any phone from 2014 with ultra wide angle camera for example, but you're here putting the fault on me just because things aren't as they were in 2014.

Shadocx, 16 Jan 2021IMO the fact that they're priced lower while having a bunch of improvements, makes it up ... moreThe optical 3x optical zoom is what I also expected from S21, especially after seeing the S20 FE having the proper zoom lens finally replaced this fake 64 MPx.
I have really no idea why is Samsung forcing those nonsense 8k videos (even more nonsense without an expandable storage on S21 series) and thus forcing to put this damn fake 64 MPx 1.1x zoom instead of a lower resolution, but optical zoom camera instead. This 10 MPx 3x optical one from the Ultra would have been perfect.

Do you remember, or were you even around, way back when the S5 had 10 things the S21 doesn't have, yet cost half as much?

Having a faster processor so that you get to use it for scrolling through Instagram isn't a bunch of improvements.

It's people like you why we can't have nice things.

S9 was the last Samsung phone with almost no compromises.
Sure, it didn't have an IR blaster or removable battery, but it still had everything else.

S10 removed the LED notification light, a huuuuuuge loss. They never brought it back. It also removed the IRIS scanner. This is also where the Exycrap CPU started being noticeably worse than SD.

S20 Removed the heartrate sensor, headphone jack, had much worse battery, Exycrap was especially horrible, camera saw little to no improvement, they narrowed the phone even more.

S21 Removed SD card, charger, headphones, plastic back, no curves, slower fast charging.

S22 No screen? No cameras? Hey, as long as fans have no brains, it doesn't matter the the phone doesn't have.

IMO the fact that they're priced lower while having a bunch of improvements, makes it up for all the negatives.
I just wish the S21 and S21+ had 3x optical zoom like the S20 FE.
They couldn't run in QHD+@120Hz in the 1st place so I don't care about resolution drop.
I heard the 25W charger(which is the max they support) is now cheaper.
Gorilla Glass Victus for all of them.
                  Bigger battery for the S21+.
Two telephoto cameras for the Ultra.
Deduct that from the S20's family price and I think they all worth it in the end.
