Android apps pretty much already has very low viruses. If you ever see something as virus, try searching. If the app is popular, it is more likely to be more discussions. Personally, I would NEVER expect GSMArena to put a virus. Their website is really good and user friendly. These peoples are just afraid to lose their personal info. Android virus scanners are pretty faulty especially the pre-installed ones. I prefer 3rd party scanners since it's more reliable. If it still says it has virus, just remove it's permissions.
I literally have never used this website or its app and I still got the notification saying I need to uninstall something because it contains a virus called evo-gen????
What did it uninstall and why did it even come up with if I don't have the website or app on my phone?
Ok8, 30 Jan 2022Lmao, yeah right, false positive....Lmao, why would they lie about there being a virus in their app anyways. You think this website, with all the information and articles etc. on here, created all of this just so they could convince you to download their app which is a virus? Lol sure
I just use the website, it's faster and doesn't eat up storage space. I don't want any more "analytics" taking place on my phone, than there already is.
Funny enough I've been using the app for the longest and I've never had a problem with it..in this era where all phones have their own antivirus installed who need a third party app that has malicious malware too... 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Lmao, yeah right, false positive....
Coincidentally, here is yet another story today of an app with (extremely) malicious code making it into the Play Store and being used by thousands of people.

GSMArena's assurance that, because their app is in the Play Store that means Google has vetted it and it's safe just doesn't hold water.
AnonD-1034169, 28 Jan 2022If people didn't download hardcore porno on their phones you wouldn't need antivirus.I don't use a AV on my phone but... you don't need to visit shady sites to get a virus, even legit websites serve ads that could be malicious.
Main reason I use uBlock on my phone too.
Who uses antivirus 🤣. If it was PC then I'll let it pass (you still don't need it, antivirus are BS, use your head). But on phones?? Just don't install shady apps lol
If people didn't download hardcore porno on their phones you wouldn't need antivirus.
People use anti-virus on Android in 2022?
kurotsuki, 28 Jan 2022So apparently I'm not the only one who thinks that using websites is enough for a news po... more"raises hand"
No you are not the only one
This title reads like something a fact checker would post lol
I prefer the web-app anyway.
well the website is full of junk adverts, I would never use the app...so wouldn't know how rubbish it is
Why bother using Anti-Virus....
😆 precisely something a sneaky organization, with nefarius plans, would claim
