Apple iOS Rumors

A few days ago a rumor doubled down on some previously leaked claims about the iPhone 18 Pro being noticeably thicker than its predecessor, by about 2mm.

Today the prolific leaker who goes by Ice Universe has revealed the iPhone 18 Pro Max's weight and thickness, and if these numbers are accurate, it will be a bit chunkier than last year’s model. Apparently, it's going to weigh 240g and be 9mm thick.

For comparison, note that the iPhone 17 Pro Max weighs 233g and is 8.8mm thick, so the increase isn't really as big as previously rumored. If last year's model feels fine to you, the upcoming one will too.

But to put things into perspective, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is rumored to weigh about 201g - and that's a folding smartphone. The iPhone 18 Pro Max's chunk is most likely related to its increased battery capacity, which is of course always a welcome improvement to see in a new phone release.

A recent certification has revealed that it will have a 5,567 mAh battery in the eSIM-only version, while the model which retains the physical SIM card will have a 5,391 mAh cell. The iPhone 17 Pro Max's numbers are 5,088 mAh and 4,823 mAh, respectively.

You hate western companies that much that you can't remember the right specs for iPhone Air. It has 120Hz display not 60Hz. iPhone is for iOS users. But that won't stop Android fans to compare them by the Android standards. ...
