Deals: Some Galaxy and Pixel phones kept their Prime Day prices - no Prime required now, though

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days only lasted two days and there were some really good deals to be had for Prime subscribers. But that is over, so today we will look at no-Prime deals and, as it turns out, many phones kept their Prime Day prices. The good news is that these deals don’t require a Prime subscription. The bad news is that some phones did go back up in price.

Starting with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, it goes for $1,700 for the 256GB model and $1,900 for the 512GB one. These are the exact same prices that we saw during Prime Big Deal Days, except now you don’t even need Prime. It’s worth thinking about whether you should get a Z Fold8 Ultra or an S26 Ultra, but maybe wait until you see the S26 Ultra price first.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is now $100 more than it was during the Prime sale – like we said, only some phones kept their lower pricing, but this wasn’t one of them. This creates an interesting situation – there’s only $50 separating Samsung’s wide foldable from the more traditional book-style model. Here is a head-to-head comparison to help you decide between the two.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 also kept its Prime pricing, so now it starts at under $1,000. It has the smallest discount of the three Z models and, as we’ll see below, you can have an S26 Ultra for this price. How much do you value the compact form factor?

While the Samsung clamshell held its price, the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 and Razr Ultra 2026 are $100 more than they were during the Tuesday-Wednesday sale. The 2025 model is still the better value-for-money pick as the 2026 upgrade was fairly minor – it doesn’t even upgrade the chipset. It’s the Snapdragon 8 Elite on both Razrs, by the way, which is a year older than the 8 Elite Gen 5 inside the Galaxy.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is actually cheaper than it was during the Prime sale. There is an asterisk to that – the prices listed below only apply to select colors, the boring Black color for the 256GB tier and the nice Sky Blue color for the 512GB tier. Other colors are $40/$90 more. If you’re deciding between the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the iPhone 18 Pro Max, our versus article goes into the pros and cons for each pick.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ also kept their Prime prices. The Galaxy S26+ doesn’t compare well against the S26 Ultra, but it does bring solid performance and battery upgrades over the S25+. The Galaxy S26 is similar as it beats its predecessor in terms of performance and battery endurance.

What is this – do our eyes deceive us? The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE finally got its first discount and it’s a good one. The FE was an easy skip at its MSRP, but now the sub-$600 starting price gives you something to think about.

If you don’t need the larger 6.7” display, you are probably better off paying a bit extra for the Galaxy S26 – it gets you a current flagship chip (Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 vs. Exynos 2500) and its 6.3” display is an LTPO panel. The S26+ is better than the S26 FE, but then its price tag is $185 higher. You can always try looking for leftover Galaxy S25 FE units too, as the 2025 model offers roughly the same user experience. And if you care about DeX, you should know that Samsung removed the wired option from the S26 FE as it cut the DisplayPort video output from the USB-C port (wireless DeX is still supported, though).

An alternative is the Samsung Galaxy A57. No, it doesn’t have DeX, but it is over $100 cheaper than the S26 FE. You lose chipset performance (Exynos 1680 vs. Exynos 2500), the 8MP 3x/69mm telephoto camera and the 15W wireless charging. The rest is not that different.

Finally, the Google Pixel 11 series also kept their Prime Day prices even after the sales event ended. For the small 6.3” models, we have Pixel 11 vs. Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro vs. Pixel 10 Pro.
