If you thought the leaked European prices for vivo's X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max, or Oppo's Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max were high, then you probably won't be ready for this. Today a new report claims to bring us the European prices for the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, and they are positively eye-watering.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro with 256GB of storage is said to go for €1,449, while the 512GB version will set you back a whopping €1,649. It will allegedly be available in black, Cosmic Blue, Velvet Red, and white.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, on the other hand, will apparently only be sold with 512GB of storage for €1,849. That is right on par with the iPhone 18 Pro Max's recommended retail price in Europe for the same amount of storage, by the way.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro in Europe will have a battery rated at 6,000 mAh, which may end up being advertised as a typical capacity of 6,100 mAh, 6,150 mAh, or 6,200 mAh, down from the 7,000 mAh cell in the Chinese model. The Pro Max in Europe will have a battery rated at 7,050 mAh, which will most likely be advertised as a typical capacity of 7,200 mAh, down from the 8,500 mAh in the Chinese variant.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro in Europe will have support for 90W wired charging, while the Pro Max will go to 100W like both Chinese versions. The 50W wireless charging support will remain unchanged in Europe. Since the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max have had their European Energy Labels published, their European launch is definitely imminent.
Those labels also reveal that Xiaomi expects the devices' batteries to last for at least 1,000 charging cycles before the capacity drops below 80% of the original value.
At this point importing phones from China is the way to go for us here in Europe. The XM 18 Pro Max difference in price is so huge, that you could buy a Xiaomi 17T Pro 512GB on top of the Chinese Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, and still have money to spare. ...
That and all the other stuff that's ridiculously overpriced will sit on the shelves like a lump of lead... Sure, there will be a few crazy people who believe those lies and buy one, but the vast majority will wait it out—because we can.
EU X10 Pro Max is yet another scam, worse battery than X9 Pro at a way higher price. Oppo is also a Chinese brand treating EU consumers like second-class citizens (+ they are totally incompetent for killing OnePlus globally, for example).
