figured out smartmovie?
i downloaded xilisoft 3gp converter.
what should i keep the settings for the video and the audio for maximum clarity?
does it work as clearly as the smartmovie?
t h a n x..
6233 or this???
-software,,(platform, symbian OS)
kabayan,, ang hirap pumili sa dalawa e,, im quite fascinated with 6233's stereo. pero i wouldnt be playing it handsfree most of the time,, so do you think the sound quality using headfones would be the same as 3250? better or worse? ofcourse using my prefered headphones a,, not the nokia ones...
yeah 100% sure! the links i gave u are .sis files made for S60 3rd edition. i currently have quickoffice installed on my 3250 and it works as clean as a whistle! =)
1) built in video editor
2) web browser
3) real player/smart movie (if playing offline content, otherwise this is d #1 battery consuming app when used for live streaming via EDGE..)
4) music player/FM radio playing thru loudspeaker in max volume
5) playing games with max volume and vibrate
re 6230i, pls b iformed dat 6230i does not support all variations AMR-WB (dey hav different bitrates, higher 1s r not supported) and does not support WAV music formats. its normal for ur friends unit to say unable to play..
if u want to play AVI files or if ur d type who has lots of AVI files on ur PC then i recommend u to install smartmovie juz to save d hassles of converting so u can watch em on ur 3250 otherwise realplayer myt b enough for ya.. also, there are other features like subtitles (d 1 u see on dvds) are supported. those r some of d reasons y u wud lyk to install smartmovie. re 3.23, ya i have not tried it yet, but a fella in dis forum hav d said problems on d white balance in d camera settings on d other hand, 3.28 is really available (here in the Philippines) nokia SM City north EDSA as confirmed by foxy too! since i haven't or i don't know anybody hu has 3.28 i can't give u a concrete conclusion on wat r d plus and minus points on d said firmware.
u can ask for a replacement of ur 3250, u had a faulty one. or if u had ur 3250 for some quite time now, juz hav ur firmware upgraded to at least 3.21 RM-38 at ur nearest local nokia authorized service center, its free as long as ur unit has warranty
3250 does not support BT stereo (A2DP profile) but BT stereo headsets wil stil work with 3250 only on mono mode.
no problem, ur welcome! =) im from mabuhay Philippines!
only microSD cards r compatible w/ 3250 other formats such as miniSD, SD will not work. u can store any length of song not only 3:45 ones, as long as u hav enough free space on ur microSD
r u sure u hav d OEM from Nokia? coz i had 3.18 and 3.21 RM-38 now and both of em does not hav any lagging on msgng and stuff. i suggest u go to nokia care center directly so dey can do d upgrading for ya. if 3.28 is avail. on ur country, i recommend it.
here u can get it:
zoom is not variable, but honestly there r no difference in quality whether it is or not only diff on variable, has smooth transition wyl zooming in..
sorry, i don't know any full screen caller available..
upgrade to firmware 3.28, perhaps d problem with setting a password on d microSD will vanish..
some .swf files work, most of em dont. let's juz w8 for d developers to release their new games/apps based on FlashLite. i juz use d default RealPlayer. yup, themes will b deleted if u use file mgr in pc suite and yes, u should delete themes not compatible or any installer files u really don't use unless u want em to be shared via bluetooth. i don't know any anti-virus for 3250 yet. u can use xilisoft video converter to convert files to mpeg so it can b played by realplayer smoothly. download it here:
b sure to hav this settings when converting video files on ur 3250.
video: resolution: 176x144 codec 3gp (H.263 P0 L10) or mpeg4 VSP with FPS of 15 and bitrate of 128-150kbps
audio part: 32kbps stereo or mono; 44.1 khz sampling, codec AAC
i recommend dat u use uLead video toolbox plus nokia edition, its included on d disc where PC suite is stored..
this phone sucks look at the design just like a ciggarate packet and looks like a toy when ssen in real and SEw810 is more better than this crap
viper kid what do u say the sound quality is very good in w810 and in the headphones too just dont take side of u r phone
thanks about that informitions .but what about the brice?it is very important for me
but i was told that some s60 programs don't work on new s60 3rd edition symbian OS.. so u sure that quick office and adobe reader works well for 3250 which uses the s60 3rd edition? thanx for ur time..
viper dude, pls add me.. i need a fileman for this phone. my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
it doesnt have to do with your USB or taking the phone call...i think :P. because being hot signifies there is battery problems and/or the mechanisms that directly interact with your power supply,, go to a nokia service center, have repaired or changed if you have the warranty...
receiving a phonecall or USB things are and the software side and will cause your phone to hang and stuff, but not hot... bu again, go check the service center to see what really happened. this also happened to my old nokia phone, and the thing that was wrong was the little mechanisms inside that interact with my powersupply is defective. it shows nokia when you open, and when the thing begins to load up, it dies again and becomes hot. its because it uses more power when loading up...
viperkid & all techies,
i bought d 3250 @ 2 weeks back. great phone!
yesterday i istalled PC suite in my PC and was trying to connect the phone thru USB port. at that time, i received a call which i took. suddenly the phone hung up, then closed down and became hot.
now if i insert the battery, the nokia symbol appears, nothing further happens and the phone becomes hot again !!
what do u think is the problem ?? am much worried! thanks for ur help u all.
anybody experience this b4 with 3250 & know the solution? shud i head to Nokia right away?
ya, 3250 can open pdf and microsoft word, excel and powerpoint files! u can find it here:
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer, meaning this is d original default firmware made and installed on nokia phones which are bought on authorized distributors such as Nokia Store. as u can see models with OEM firmware from Nokia most likely hav better OS stability than those with non-OEM firmware phones dat r found on units dat came with network operators (free or discounted when u get a certain subscription plan) d difference, u'll see some icons on d main menu and sometimes on d wallpaper it says Orange, O2 or Globe, etc, these models has a modified firmware other than those with OEM resulting into d said problems lagging on SMS and other features even if its not meant to, not working twsiting mechanism, phone crashing and restarting. take note dat a 3250 unit with OEM from nokia compared with non-OEM ones even if dey hav d same version like V3.18 RM-38, i can say d non-OEM one has problems.
Hi again guys.. i am wondering whether to buy 6680 or 3250.. 3250 looks great but i want to know whether it could run WORD and PDF files or no... pls help me.. coz if it can't run document files then i will go for 6680.. someone help here!!

Hey viperkid... i got one question to ask ...
Which applications in the 3250 consume the most battery??
Could you list out atleast 5 applications which are battery consuming (preferably rank-wise)? I'm sure that the Real Player is one of them... This would really help me a lot...
Thanx a lot!!!
Thanks man! It's not really for me it's for a friend of mine, but you see that's why I asked you.Her good ol' ipod nano was destroyed in a tragic accident(god rest it's soul)headphones and all,so she wanted a phone with an mp3 player for a replacement.Makes no sense buying a brand new ipod for the headphones...Thanks anyways.
