Hi Guys. Really considering buying this Phone after eading all spome of the comments. If i buy, will it work with T-mobile with all it's function in place? Or does it work in USA?
forgot to include:
yahoo mail plus
and lots of themes...
you may download the said applications on the links previously posted here!
i've been using e61i for the past five (5) months and the installed apps are:
picodrive for mobile games
lcg jukebox/mp3 player
...now i like this phone, very much!
I have this phone 3 months now, posting this comment using wi-fi using the phone. Works great, although wish it was a touchscreen also, otherwise a great gadget to have.
Sam thanks for the info! This means that Nokia should have given us the clock speeds of both processors. I am assuming that the 220MHz refers to the processor that deals with telephony. Or are you saying that both processors run at 220MHz?? Furthermore you say that this has no effect on multitasking yet if you compare this phone with a 6120 classic which has a single CPU running at 369MHz surely the E61i is better equipped and will multitask better because one of its two processors is dedicated towards running the Symbian software. Please enlighten me!!
Dual CPU in Nokia means that a processor runs the Symbian software and a separate one runs the telephony (cellular) software. It is not the same as a dual core Intel or AMD processor. It has no effect whatsoever on multitasking. The reason E61 rarely crashes is that the software is good and suits it.
Please advise...what does it mean when it says Blackberry Connectivity? Does that mean it has pinning capability?
To Sam and RbH7: check out www.forum.nokia.com. It gives detailed tech specs. Nokia state that the E61i; N93 and N95 all have dual CPUs. I take that to mean there are two separate 220 MHz micro processors on the same IC. This should in theory confer better multitasking on the phone. What do you guys think??
@mJZx, synchronizing with Lotus Notes and the agenda works perfectly. Also very easy with the Nokia PC Suite-software.
will this phone work in USA? Can I simply take this handset there and buy and install a SIM chip? Thanks.
This fone is a 3G fone, but wat abt teh video calling? it doesnt have a camera in front, does it? How can u video call with 1 camera?:S
Why do you understand that it has a dual processor? I have the phone since May and i know it well. It does not have a dual processor. It's fast enough though!
I for one, don't believe that this phone has a dual processor.. I work in a phoneshop and I have typed lots of messages with it, it works fine. The more you work with it, the faster you can type. I'm actually gonna buy this phone, because of the positive comments I read on the internet. And from my own experience I can tell you that the E61i has a fine construction; the metal parts, the keyboard etc. And I like the shape, almost no one has this phone.. Very different design!
Hi FZ, maybe this phone has a QWERTY-keyboard, so it doesn't need to have T9??? in my opinion very logical, maybe if you're retarded.
I understand that this mobile machine has a dual CPU running at 220MHz. Correct me if I am wrong but this implies that it houses two microprocessors running at 220MHz on the same IC. This would explain why it doesn't hang often. I am seriously considering buying this because it is obvious that Nokia will never release an N series phone with a QWERTY. Ideally I wanted an entertainment/lifestyle phone with a QWERTY provision for decent text entry but Nokia have not considered this option. So people; in all honesty what is the keyboard like? Can one type with speed and accuracy??
just scroll down a bit, or go through pages in this sention u will find tons of sights where u can find lots of games and cracked software.
Hey guys i am still waiting for the help to use built in IM inside the phone, whats the correct settings if i want to use MSN messenger throught that IM.
