NO Anodized aluminum casing??????????????? come on nokia!!!!!!!!!!! when do you build a complex phone ????? N8 will be best if it got 4" display or QWERTY , come on nokia be nice
Nice try from Nokia but compromised again like many times before:
1. 256 MB RAM,
Could they finally change this "to much" conservative aproach?
dis is the the worst phone i have seen in my life the worst phone e7
daniel, 24 Sep 2010nope the processor is fine, symbian 3^ is a very light operating system that could run with a ... moredon't crap daniel!
symbian 3 is slow and work on old software engine and
need MORE power and optimization!!!
Does anybody know whether the E7 will feature a native VoIP client as it was the case with most of its E-series predecessors (E70, E71, E75, etc.)?
Any comments or replies are highly appreciated.
The biggest issue for this phone will for sure be a small battery that wont be enough for business users. Nokia should place stronger battery, like they did with nokia e72.
OMG those Samsung fannies are giving the E7 and N8 such low votes! Come on people, the nHD screen ,may sound too low, but when you use it you will never notice the diffrence between 360*640 and 480*800. And so what if the E7 doesn't have memory card slot? The HTC HD7 doesn't have one aswell, and that thing on;y has 8gb internal! And the E7 has 768mb additional virtual ram, much more than any other phone on the market. The N900 is SUPER-FAST and it only has a 600mhz processor, imagine what the E7 can do. No autofocus, well yeah that may be abit too much, but remember the E7 IS a business phone...And I bet you that the image quality will be class-leading...despite not having Carl Zeiss optics. The E7 is a excellent phone and it deserves to succeed. People should not judge the phone by what it doesn't have.
ShameOnNokia, 24 Sep 2010And this kids, is a good thing that Daniel does not run any company that competes for the cust... moreLess than a day of battery life is not good enough.
I really appreciate that other phone manufacturer put 1ghz processors on their device. But until the time comes when they can make a long lasting phone i will stay on choosing the 'good enough' - anodized aluminum casing, usb otg, clear black display, dolby digital, qwerty, quickoffice premium, 12mp(on N8).
I can always have a PC to do the heavy task. I have my phone mainly because i want to make and receive calls and sms 24/7 whenever i need it.
Everyone can follow the trend easily. What makes you think nokia can't do it?
Wait for meego then, meego will set the newer trend, that is mobile computer, with an OS that runs both on mobile and netbooks. That is nokia. They create their own trend. They're more than just a bulk phone manufacturer. They're original.

I want a phone with bigger screen myself with 100% qwerty keyboard. This phone is just 95% qwerty bcoz of the non existence of dedicated number keyboard. You will regret it if you buy it. Keyboard is just like the useless N900 which I ditched few months back. When you buy it, you will wish it has the dedicated number keyboard just like his big brother E90.
Anyways, I am waiting for another phone model to arrive here in my country. Check this out or google it.The phone name is ITG XP Phone. Beautiful keyboard, just like the OQO. 4.8 in screen. It's the only real PC PHONE at this moment. Operating system WINDOW XP EMBEDDED, not Windows Phone 7 or Windows Mobile 6.5.
Y the hell Nokia is not going for android????...
Here they have made a mistake by not giving card slot.... Only internal memory... which can be harmful if phone gets affected by Virus....
Nokia does somthng good but at the end they made something wrong as well....
Learn and Grow Nokia product developers.
ShameOnNokia, 24 Sep 2010And this kids, is a good thing that Daniel does not run any company that competes for the cust... moreYou seem to be very, very clever. Why not you design your own hp and see whether it can sell. Phoorah!!
LAMBO, 24 Sep 2010i am big nokia fam .but i didn't like the way that nokia make its phones . i look for a phone ... moreit is true that e7 desn't have autofocus bat it has the Extended Depth of Field technology that stacs 6 images on top of each other and mades one picture of it.
lol, i still believ dat N9 gonna or can b compared wid the powerful N900 even E7 is no match for the Beast N900,
And this kids, is a good thing that Daniel does not run any company that competes for the customer's hard earned money. The Symbian^3 might run on a 680Mhz last generation OS but does it run well? So far every review of Symbian^3 device says one thing, the OS sucks, and that after long running times the device becomes either laggy or unresponsive. Case in point Intomobile's hands on review of the E7 at Nokia world 2010. They played with the device for a while and said that the device at times was unresponsive or slow. Good thing Intel and AMD doesn't take your "runs good enough" ideology right? Imagine if Intel and AMD only pushed out CPU's that were "good enough" to run windows 7. That means all their CPUs would be 1GHz, and every PC in the world would be only 1GB of ram. Because those are the specs that are "good enough" to run MS Windows 7. Funny how you mention that the 360 x 640 screen is good enough as well. According to your logic Nokia really has no need to put out a 4" screen with 360 x 640, lol they should just stick with the 2.4" 320x240 screen thats on the C3 because thats good enough right? I mean the C3 lets you read text messages, view pictures, and sure movies "just fine". Its probably you who should get the facts straight buddy, Nokia is in a business that caters to their customers and competes against other companies. If they can't put out a product that competes well then guess what, they go out of business. Judging by the fact that they got rid of their CEO and the one in charge of the N-series phone resigned, Nokia can't compete. Otherwise their CEO's are "good enough". I ditched my N900, and got the Galaxy S, best move ever. Guess what, im not going to go back to nokia, and so will many others. Im gonna hit HTC up for their Desire HD once it comes out and im sure many others will too. But hey, if nokia loses 99% profit fiscally they're doing just "good enough" right? LOL
It has a document editor according to the official site of nokia, I think the spesification written on this site should be corrected...
