Just ordered my N8 from Nokia direct on 24 month contract upgrade with vodafone UK!!!! ...they say delivery will take up to 11 days!

Its funny always talk about those, because most of people dont do anything with those. for me i dont want to always carry cables if i should need them.
I think when you really need those then they are at home and not there where you need them.
wireless things are future, im very interesting about wp7 lg phone can stream pics and videos to tv without cable, thats looks/sounds great! new htc desire HD having that too

Well this is mainly what I said.
Great phone and great features and I am going to get one regardless.
I just wanted to hear your thoughts on these points
Its not a gamers phone (compared to say the iphone) as people getting this phone are probably not hardcore gamers, but do you think the average user of this phone will actually use the features that you and myself brag about?
Will you actually carry a cable with you everywhere so you can actually take advantage of the USB 'on the go' or HDMI out at the time you need to without planning to?
Do you really need 12mp camera over a 5mp camera? I think most people just look at the their pictures just on the phone or maybe on a pc where they would hardly tell the difference.
Are you gonna notice the speed difference of bluetooth 3 over 2.1? especially as you need to connect to another bt3 device to get that speed
the FM transmitter, free sat nav and great build quality are probably the gonna be the most noticed difference to most peoples upgrade don't you think?
These are all questions I get from my friends who think I'm stupid waiting so long for this phone when other good phones are already out so wanted pass some of these opinions to the forum so I can be reassured that i'm not giving this phone too much credit

I asked NPD here in Hyderabad, India, he said me that N8 launch has been delayed by 3 weeks, when i asked him more, he told me that he got this info directly from Nokia base office in Delhi.

And by the way... this was supposed to be Nokia's top of the line. They failed yet again to enter the top phone market.
Let's just hope they finish their Meego, it will maybe bring them back in the smartphone market.

Also, what's poor about the screen? Super AMOLEDs arnt supplied to anyone but Samsung cos they manufacture them, so that's not an option.
Resolution could be bigger, but personally I think it fits the 3,5" screen very well, and it would even look off it was bigger reso. If 3½" makes a screen poor, why not get a 50" TV right away, it's surely better than ur 4" or whatever ur device has.
Get real, get ur facts straight. This phone is probably the best balanced phone out there.

Ansh, 16 Sep 2010thought samsung wave to be my phone for 4 yrs but now..on loading heavy web pages it shows mem... moreI hope ppl understand tat talking big is nt impt...but performing in real life is impt...wave is a nice fone but every fone has its limits...after being 1ghz its still has memory low...so I think Nokia did a smart thing by installing a best GPU in N8...u need to balance things in life....

thought samsung wave to be my phone for 4 yrs but now..on loading heavy web pages it shows memory full ..close some apps..this shudnt happen ..now it will be hard for me to get some money but i will definitely trade wave for n8... sorry nokia for losing me but am back to you again.. subah ka bhoola shaam ko ghar laut aaya :'(

I wonder ..y soo many jealous ppl here fr N8...its rating is gng dwn fr nthing...rating doesn't matter to us...we know the fone is the best...its just shws how many ppl r jealous of Nokia...hahahhaha...u losers keep voting less....

Just Ordered my N8 on contract £35 a Month on a 18 month Contract an in Green,just hope i get it in the next 11 days as Nokia have just emailed me,an hope i do not have the same trouble when i ordered the N86 as i had 3 faulty one in 7 days,so cancelled the contract,just dying to get hold of the N8 an will now be going onto Ebay to order a Leather case for my N8

Wheez, 16 Sep 2010Nokia still hasnt confirmed 25th september, so the official is still probably around 30 sept a... more@ wheez yes they haven't confirmed but there is a thing tat it mite cme on 25 sept...just spoke to the supplier...he said sept end or 1st week of oct..they haven't received stock yet...I knw the DP iam soo Happy with the price...can't reveil it...but wen launched will be selling around 25k...Dis week they will launch C-01 the dual sim Fone..iam hoping fr the best...and calling the supplier everyday to get more info on the launch...I Love N8......
