[deleted post]Hey all Iphone guys out there !!
This is an excellent phone and I am not being sarcastic. An Iphone user is always an Iphone user, because there is no substitute and no other company makes phones with these OS and features n specs.
That being said this is an excellent phone. My query is: If any other big market brand were to develop a phone with the same OS and specs, would they be able to take to a higher level, or to what N8 users et al say is missing?
Then we will see. For now Iphone users are like dopers stuck dead on dope. Can't handle without it. That is a wise strategy by Apple and people are falling for it. So I would say Kudos to Apple on excellent marketing

there is a red led, that will light when u take photos and record images.. but its not a lighting source ..

Where is the LED light for video recording? The specs say it's got one. Am planning to change from Pixon12 because of the sms limitation. But pics,screen, sounds and vids are great! However, N8 has unlimited sms, now plays xvid/divx, connects with wifi-N, records HD videos. But where is the LED? The guy that has the manual, can you tell? Thanks.

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2010This is what we can tell you at this distant, wait for it to come upAnd that's exactly my point, don't go proclaiming N8 the best phone or S^3 the best OS before it been released. the only way to judge whether a phone or the OS's good is when Joe Public gets his hands on it. The public are the only ones that can fish out all the bugs, we use these phones differently from experts.

Maemo is Nokia's experiment, which is only available on the N900 which in turn is an enthusiast's phone, no average user ever goes for it. S^3 and meego not yet available on the market how can you proclaim them to be the best?

Me, for an example, find the Nokia N8 to be the most suitable device for me. Reason being because I am a movie junkie and tend to book rooms at Suites a lot. With the Nokia N8, I can download a 720p movie directly to the device, hook it up to the provided HD television in the room, and enjoy my night with a dinner and movie. Simple stuff like that I take into consideration.

If you want the best still image & 1280x720P video recording cameraphone smartphone then your best to go for the Sony Erricsson vivaz or N8. If you want the best phone that does everything else well, samsung galaxy S I9000 or wait for the samsung Beam I8520.
Like me, or wait longer & see what the Nokia N9 highend smartphone brings. One things for sure S^3, or meamo, or meago are the best platforms to go for. But if you want no flash, java games, no widget UI homescreen, & want to be a slave to everything I-phone then buy the *-ph***
