Got the Nokia N95 8GB yesterday. I am very impressed with its performance in fact before I paid for it I also tried the Nokia N95 Classic and it was damn slow compared to the 8GB version.
Screen is astounding, navigation is the quickest I've seen of all the Symbian phones I have owned and there are just too many applications available for this baby. The only thing lacking was a bundled pouch or leather case although I bought one myself.
Hats off to Nokia!
and oh, it doesnt support much languages. I sometimes send & receive text messages in Chinese.
I Got mine about a week ago. Im fully satisfied with all the features, the package contents and the whopping 8GB but alas my excitement came to an end when i almost filled it up leaving only 20MB of space in the mass memory and it kinda slowed down. and ive noticed it takes it longer to load MP3s than AAC when in music player mode. & ive been experiencing hang ups when doing heavy multi tasking. especially when loading 2000++ 128kbs MP3s in the play all list.
The picture gallery is great and loads fast even 1MB+ jpegs. The camera is superb although inadequate flash compared to xenon flashes and i noticed that auto focus gets blurry when im taking pics of documents or texts in close up. video recording is unlike any other phone cam ive ever seen.
GPS is handy when im not sure of my way around but i do find the "Where am I" to be faulty coz its off 2kms from my exact location.
Construction is ok, but with a phone this caliber i was hoping of more durable materials like stainless steel or titanium to protect the hardware.
How i wish I can listen to radio wo plugging in the earphones. speakers are loud and ok but not loud & crisp enough , the NOKIA MD-3 is a great accessory to compensate for this.
The battery is adequate enough to last me a day under heavy text, music, moderate calls, some pics & videos but not while using wifi and data transfers drains it like mad!
Lastly a few innovations of the next N95 I would like to have; 60GB mass storage (they can fit in a 160GB in an Ipod why cnt this one?), expandable hot swappable Micro SD (8GB support) mem for data transfers, wider file format support (FLV,avi, divx) built in Full Office capabilities, send & receive Fax like 9210i, a laser pointer & flash light using the cam LED flash, devoted music chip like the 5310, beter speakers (harman Kardon), has a DVB-H TV broadcast receiver, Improved 7Megapixel cam w lens cover & xenon and LED flash, 2000++Mah Battery, 256MB DDR ram & USB charging. But hey, this would really make it the "All in 1 Phone!" like it claims to be ryt?:)
does anybody who has the phone know if it will work with ipod speakers,i know the n95 has a 3.5 jack and think the ipod speakers are the same!anybody who knows will u let me kno!thanx guys!!!
Just got this phone on Friday and I can say after a a weekend of using it that it's an incredible phone. not sure why so many people like to complain of small details...
In my country this one body made by Nokia but battery made by China, the price 660USD.

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Random posters please stop posting random poo like "Sony Ericsson Is Best not nOkIa" i mean come on... dont post things like this unless you have valid reason as to why "you think" that is...and post it on a forum where someone actually cares... we are here to discuss phone models, pros and cons, faults and flaws... Not whos the best, and even at that, it's a matter of opinion, so anyone who says one is better than the other is undoubtably and immediately WRONG. there is no general consenus for "who's the best" so stop talking poo and more about handset review please. But if you want to go on sales, market share and sheer influence... At this point in time Nokia has far more of any of the aforementioned than any other gsm manufacturers. SO LETS JUST LEAVE IT AT THAT PLZ
just got myself a new bluetooth headset and paired it no problem, but i'm having a problem with it.
when the phone goes into standby mode the headset stops working but when a press any button it starts working again this goes on every 90 secs at the moment because thats the maximum i can set it.
How do i set the headset to work the whole time?
i just bought my n95 last week, but i think the gps does not work...
i think people that own the phone should write the review because some people chat crap.
i have had this phone for a week and its great. picture quality is great and the video is brilliant. music player has a setting for steao widening and this should be put "on" makes the music sound alot better.
battery life is good i duno why people say its crap. i listen 2 music all day and chat for hours every nite and i hav had no problem with the battery life.
there is only 1 bad point about this fone n tht is i can neva get the gps workin. tried it while drivin home from work n it cant get no signal. but apart frm tht everyfing else is gr8
I already asked about this as I am confused as much as you are. These are the responses I got:
N95 8gb is way better thn the N81 8gb.....
coz Stone Cold Steve Austin said so!!! :P
if i hav to say y its better thn its gonna take the whole day...n not juz N81..its actually better thn N82 in sm aspects..(except for the fact tht it doesnt hav a lens cover n all) but overall N95 8gb is the biggy out there now...its like lying on the peak of everest n others r still smwhere at the bottom...tryin to climb..:p
jnPj is right! N95 8GB is far better than N81 8GB. For comparison http://www.gsmarena.com/compar...dPhone1=2085 . Not to mention one of the important features missing in N81 8GB is EDIT key ( pencil button )
This phone realli is king of 2007. Get 1 to experience its power. ;)
ei what should be the sales package of this phone? and is warranty included? for how long?
This phone is still behind k850 in the photography dept. It still hangs when too many sms's are sent. 'Demand paging' feature didn't help much i guess. Mine needs a reboot every now and then.
Worst phone ever!!.. looks are good, peformance ok and camera is good, i dont understand why dont you buy a good camera not a phone rather than buying this thing....internet is top notch though
I absolutely love this phone, my dad got it for me from his work and i love how it slides both ways for the MP3 player. The internet is really good and not to mention its fast. This fone is reliable and 5Mp camrera woohoo!. Videos/Camera is crytal clear and great memory........ 9/10!
