ohh..the truth hurts huh?? :))) You guys can't live up with the idea that you precious N97 it's actually cheap and outdated! But hey, Nokia manages once again to fool around the customers! Wait till you have one in your hands, and you'll know what I am talking about here..
Anonymous, 06 Jun 2009i bet you have an iphone. Even though he says he doesn't have an iphone,he's probably lying.
Mike, 06 Jun 2009Dude, i don't have an iphone! I don't like it! The n97 is supposed to be a high end phone yes?... moreOne plastic is better then another. You gotta think about what you are saying. It's crazy.
Mike, 06 Jun 2009Dude, i don't have an iphone! I don't like it! The n97 is supposed to be a high end phone yes?... moreEverything is not gold that shines... What i mean is that evenif its plastic, it can be reliable as phone and toy... There is not many phones thats not plastic, and them who is metallic is not cheap phones... By the way, whats wrong with plastic i a phone? Sure it sounds cheap, but tell me whats not plastic theese days even the best cars has plastic in it and nobody complaines over that....
I think this is an amazing fon. waiting for it to buy. it has all the features. waiting for it to come in the Iran's shops.
Anonymous, 06 Jun 2009i bet you have an iphone. Dude, i don't have an iphone! I don't like it! The n97 is supposed to be a high end phone yes? well, if it is so, they should have put better materials there! I am not saying that it should be made from steel, but man, that plastic is really cheap! Look at the back of the omnia hd for example, it's plastic, but it has far better quality then the one from n97! And, should I mention the design of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1? Anodized aluminium, chrome, 4 rows keyboard. With all this housing, the Xperia is still lighter than the n97!! (145g vs 150g)..it's fantastic dude! So tell me, why should i buy a big brick of plastic?
I cant wait 2 this phones relise in the stores here in sweden stockholm, any 1 know about this here????
People choose the Sony Ericsson Satio if you want a great camera phone, and a smartphone has bigger CPU, 600 MHZ, not 434. Or choose Samsung, they are also good! This phone is a failure, coz the CPU speed isn't enough, this is my opinion. I like the design of the phone, but when you put a lot of things to the phone, will probably freese!
Anonymous, 05 Jun 2009this phone will be outdated when its released.samsung will rule 2009 if your going to write a comment, write one that backs your statement!
Please fix the specs, all pre-views have said that is has ZIP-support, as well as 32GB microSD-support, 10.2 mbps HSDPA and 2.0 mbps HSUPA.
The internal memory is probably the best thing spec wise about the N97 compared with its competitors. This is both good and bad news.
I need to thank Nokia for not making the Ovi Store as dominant as the App Store, as I'd feel very restricted in that case. There's only one company that restricts its fans that much, and that is Apple.
if there is an N97 update offer like this
1. Providing users options to choose flick scroll or scroll bar(currently both are used in N97, what a ugly combination)
2. Full virtual keyboard when the slide-out keyboard is closed, it is useful sometime when we are using one hand to type.
3. Multitouch/Multitouch-like software for Web/Photo/Text(Palm Pre and LG can have it despite Apple Patents)
4. Much improved web browser.
5. Official Skype doing Video Call over Wifi/3G
6. Redesign the default official ugly icons and themes, how about a contest for Nokia Icons/theme
and N97i, i would like to see Capacitive screen, Cortex A9 512ram, 8MP 3Xoptical zoom and Xenon, and add Stantum Multitouch techology:), then it is the best phone and can sell good for 10 years after launch.
Anonymous, 06 Jun 2009what business part can you expect from N97 when this phone, just as omnia hd is only served as... moreIt can be downloaded for a fee, besides QWERTY-keypad + Touch-screen with 32GB, 5MP and nHD = The goods from the both worlds!

I want to be able to download non-dependent software, which I wouldn't be able to on an Iphone.
Seriously, you can't compare Symbian apps vs Iphone apps, unless you're completly biased. It's like comparing N97's camera with Iphone's camera...
From the New York Times :
The Ovi Store offered 173 applications for the 5800, including a mere 50 free apps. For the E75, Nokia offered 226 apps, for the N85, 263.
The iPhone has more than 35,000 apps. The company won’t say how many are free, but the figure is almost certainly in the thousands. BlackBerry’s recently introduced App World store has more than 1,000 apps, and many of those are also free.
