nick, 30 May 2014it doesnt have multitasking wasteit certainly supports multitask. install 360 security and then will find the recently used apps in one place. Now you can multitask as usual. Try it....
There are many big names in the world of android phone manufacturer. but except HTC none has tried to do something different with respect to hardware as well as software. other than HTC everyone followed the same design concept like rounded corner three key and same old grid like icons. not a single manufacturer has even tried or dared to do something different. if Nokia used the same concept for their x series then they should be called as another android phone manufacturer. That won't be any good for neither Nokia neither customers. So in my view Nokia has taken the perfect decision to use their own style and give customers a device that can run all android apps in a unique environment. this will help Nokia or Microsoft to maintain a separate place in the market. when other companies have no other option except reducing their price and compromising quality Nokia need not be worried much as people who don't follow the herd will go for x series. Also it's only possible for Nokia to make a different approach when Google is ruling the world with it's OS. the x os features may or may not be liked by some people but it's effectiveness is unquestionable. user will not miss a single notification and will be able to do all his important tasks with ease. The software is quite straight forward and easy to operate for which Nokia is ever known that is a nice hardware with a simple interface.Good job Nokia. carry on.......
we are with you.
Kim, 29 May 2014I want to buy new cell..ma budget rs.7000..ma exception r.i want little nic camera quality,goo... moreAll the phones you mentioned except Nokia X have Google services in them, but the hardware that they have are just about the same as what Nokia X have. Lag is very common to all android devices; if you're looking for an Android device that works very well and does not lag all the time, you need to spend more money. If you're looking for a unique phone that have great build quality, then go for Nokia X.
I just got mine last week and its a very sleek phone, easy on the hand with good battery life. Couple of bad parts is you cannot Sync to google, and if you have all your contacts in google, you can import or rootkit the phone to enable google sync and play store. And why have built in Skype with no front cam. That's pretty stupid in my opinion, you usually use skype for cam.
JJJ, 30 May 2014Please has anyone used dis X,Can the battery life be likened to Nokia Phones? Just thinking of... moreyou may go for Nokia x but be realistic, It won't disappoint you and you will be able to enjoy almost all android apps in a new and so called non android environment and it will give you a different user experience. this phone is very easy to use and you can enjoy some Google services also like Google search and Google maps. Gmail can be also accessed through the default email client. Choice is yours.
Please has anyone used dis X,Can the battery life be likened to Nokia Phones? Just thinking of trading My Curve 7 for Nokia X. Advice needed urgently please.

AnonD-263319, 29 May 2014every android phone will hang if you don't manage it properly. I have came across many phones... moremany said that Moto g is good but i dont think so can you tell which is better to buy whether Motog or Nokia X
can you please tell me the variation clearly
thanks in advance
Until Nokia improves on the quality of sound coming out from it's 3.5mm jack when plugged to external speakers, this phone remains useless. You can hardly hear it even with volume raised to the highest. I's better through Bluetooth.
Kim, 29 May 2014I want to buy new cell..ma budget rs.7000..ma exception r.i want little nic camera quality,goo... moreevery android phone will hang if you don't manage it properly. I have came across many phones like Samsung, Sony, micomax, gionee etc. The stock ROM will give you only 40-50% available RAM and that too at maximum. on an average you will get around 30% RAM. So Nokia x is not bad enough in that sense as you will get around 200mb + RAM always and it doesn't have a non user removable battery like in moto g or e and you get good service backup from Nokia. I don't know about service of moto as it is available only through flipkart and not even in the stores. Now choice is yours.
nokia x headphone don't work although I put it in the input ..when I watched a media on fb or utube the sound is loud and no controller ...the side buttons didn't work
AnonD-268507, 29 May 2014Thanks for reply.. I tried "Call Control - Call Blocker" app and till now it is work... moreI have also tried GO Laucher but I removed it because I missed the fastlane feature. I think what Nokia has given with the device is really nice and useful. so after trying a lot of things I finally settled in the default launcher. Also my suggestion to you is keep greenify app in your phone as it would help you to locate the resource hungry apps that run in the background. Force stop them to improve your phone performance and get better battery backup. Please feel free to ask any question regarding Nokia x.
