Google Android Rumors

Mediatek unveiled the Dimensity 9000 last month, and today the company shed more light on the first phones to launch products with the SoC. The chip, built on the 4nm process, will be adopted by Oppo, vivo, Xiaomi, and Honor - all four companies will launch a new phone with Dimensity 9000 in Q1 2022.

Oppo Find X4, Redmi K50 phones to have Dimensity 9000 chipset, Mediatek confirms

Henry Duan, VP at Oppo, revealed the next Find X flagship will be the first to be launched with the Dimensity 9000. He is likely talking about the vanilla Find X4 since we already have a confirmation the X4 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Xiaomi VP and General Manager of Redmi Lu Weibing confirmed the chip will make an appearance in the Redmi K50 series. He withheld information about the particular model, but we expect the K50 Gaming edition to be the one, sporting the Dimensity 9000.

Honor and vivo did not reveal the exact devices they will launch either, but both brands promised their “new generation of flagship 5G mobile phones” will provide “unprecedented performance” to “push the envelope on 5G applications and innovations”.

GCam support is there on my D1200 phone, but yeah not as many working versions as QC-SD. Same come to OS/custom ROM support, not as many versions except some popular devices like Note8Pro, etc
