The battery on the Find X5 Pro is now larger - 5000mAh, up from 4500mAh on the Find X3 Pro.
It pioneers Oppo's latest smart charging technology, Battery Health Engine. By taking better care of the battery health, it promises a lifespan of twice as many charging cycles 1600 vs the alleged "industry standard of 800" before the battery capacity is permanently reduced below 80%.
Additionally, the Find X5 Pro now supports enhanced, 80W SuperVOOC Flash charging, which should restore the battery from close to empty to 50% in about 12 minutes.
You also get 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. It can be charged from near-empty to 100% in just 47 minutes.
We didn't have an AirVOOC wireless charger handy but the 80W SuperVOOC charger was provided in the box so we set out to test their claims.
And unfortunately, we didn't reach the advertised speeds, with the battery showing 40% about 12 minutes into the charging.
And despite the fact that the SuperVOOC Flash Charging is among its most powerful implementations here, with the Find X3 Pro having a smaller battery, its charging times are actually shorter even if it only supports 65W SuperVOOC charging.

The international model of the Oppo Find X5 Pro (the one sold outside of China that is) makes use of Qualcomm's latest 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship chipset. It comes in the same 12GB+256GB configuration as the Find X3 Pro.
Thanks to the next-gen chipset, Oppo is promising the new phone should offer up to 30% higher performance, and up to 25% more power efficiency than the previous generation, not to mention the enhanced AI and network capabilities.
We've already had our first meeting with this chipset on the recently reviewed IQOO 9 Pro, but we were eager to see how it performed on the Find X5 Pro, too.
In a nutshell, we observed improved performance compared to last year's silicon, but also the phone was quick to heat up and equally as quick to throttle down its performance, scoring about 20% less on Geekbench 5 and Antutu 9. And that's despite the extra large vapor cooling chamber that BBK flagship is fitting on the back of this year's flagships.
Still, the upgrade in the graphics performance that comes with the new Adreno 730 is undeniable and substantial.
