The Reno15 Pro (mini) nails almost every aspect of the smartphone experience. It is a compact device with powerful hardware, a premium-quality display, and a capable, versatile camera setup. On top of that, it delivers excellent battery endurance paired with decently fast charging. Overall, it brings a lot to the table.
The Reno15 Pro (mini) is now available globally through selected retailers. In Europe, pricing is set at €600 for the 256GB variant and €700 for the 512GB option. It is certainly not a doorbuster, but the launch pricing can only soften over time so we're optimistic.
Looking at the competition, the €450 Motorola Edge 60 Pro stands out as a more affordable alternative, offering a larger OLED display and stronger hardware on paper. It delivers impressive battery life, a comparable camera setup with consistently good photo and video quality, and a clean Android experience enriched with a healthy dose of AI features.
The €550 Xiaomi 15 comes equipped with one of the most powerful Android chipsets available, an even higher-grade LTPO OLED display, and a well-rounded camera system enhanced by Leica tuning. This compact flagship has earned fan-favorite status and is often the first consideration for anyone shopping for a small gaming or camera-focused phone. Battery life is another strong point, with the only notable compromise being the selfie camera, which is merely average.
The Galaxy S25 is another compact flagship, and it is more powerful than the Reno15 Pro (mini). It has an excellent display, but the cameras don't stand out particularly. Battery life is also fairly average. If raw performance is not your top priority at the €600 mark, the Reno15 Pro (mini) may well be the more appealing choice overall.
The iPhone 17 is as compact as the Reno15 Pro, lighter even. It cannot offer a dedicated zoom camera, but it does impress with screen, performance, and overall build quality. The battery life is solid as well. The iPhone 17 is at least €150 more expensive, though.

The market, and this price segment in particular, is far from crowded with compact smartphones. Quite the opposite, really. That scarcity plays directly into the Reno15 Pro (mini)’s favor, allowing it to stand out easily.
First off, the phone comes with a familiar-looking but well-executed design, centered around a solid build and well-chosen color options. The display impresses as well - it is sharp and bright, with smooth motion and vivid colors, and it supports HDR10+ across all streaming apps we tried.
Despite its compact footprint, the Reno15 Pro (mini) houses a surprisingly large battery, delivering excellent endurance on a single charge. Add to that the decently fast wired charging and the impressive stereo speakers, and the overall package becomes well-rounded.
Then there is the camera setup, which proved to be one of the phone’s highlights. All four cameras, including the selfie unit, deliver consistently excellent photos throughout the day. Video quality follows the same trend, helped along by near-flawless stabilization that works reliably across the board.
Finally, the Reno15 Pro (mini) comes with a genuinely fast chipset, though sustained performance is clearly not its strong suit. Peak performance drops off quickly under prolonged CPU or GPU loads, which is quite typical for the compact devices we've reviewed. The good news is that such extreme scenarios are unlikely to be common in day-to-day use.
And that just about sums it up. The Reno15 Pro (mini) gets almost everything right - a relatively compact size, an excellent display, impressive battery life, standout camera quality, and competent speakers. If it were not for the underwhelming sustained performance, it would have been perfect, but even as it is, it deserves an outstanding recommendation.
