Qualcomm 5G

Qualcomm announced its latest Snapdragon X75 modem for vehicles, PCs, Industrial IoT, and Snapdragon X72 modem for mobile devices. Both are ready to support 5G Advanced, called by the San Diego company “the next phase of 5G”.

The modems have 10-carrier aggregation and support 10 Gbps downlink in both Wi-Fi 7 and 5G.

Qualcomm’s 6th-gen modem-to-antenna solution uses a new architecture and brings a new QTM565 mmWave antenna module that reduces cost, board complexity, hardware footprint, and energy consumption. The battery life is further extended by Qualcomm 5G PowerSave Gen 4 and Qualcomm RF Power Efficiency Suite.
