realme MWC 2022 Announcement

Realme concluded its MWC event with several announcements. The GT 2 series phones were the stars of the show but we also got the Realme Book Prime laptop and Buds Air 3 wireless earphones. Realme Book Prime was introduced in China last month as the Realme Book Enhanced Edition and features a higher TDP Intel Core i5 CPU while Buds Air 3 are the brand’s latest TWS earphones with active noise cancellation.

Realme Book Prime

There’s only one visual difference between the new Realme Book Prime and the older Realme Book - the new Real Green color of the laptop. The insides feature Intel’s 11th Core i5-11320H processor which has a 35W TDP capable of reaching a single-core turbo frequency of 4.5GHz. The quad-core CPU brings 8 threads and 8MB L3 cache just like before. The graphics are handheld by Intel’s Iris Xe integrated GPU.

Another tweaked aspect comes in the dual-fan cooling system which has a 50% higher heat dissipation rate compared to the regular Realme Book which should also lead to some performance gains. The rest of the spec sheet is identical to the standard Realme Book with a 14.2-inch IPS LCD with a 3:2 aspect ratio and 2160 × 1440 px resolution, a 54Wh battery and USB-C 65W charger.

The 8GB RAM and 512GB storage Realme Book Prime comes out to €999 while the upgraded 16/512GB version will set buyers back €1,099.

Realme Buds Air 3

Buds Air 3 are the latest wireless earphones with Hybrid ANC from Realme. They feature 10nm drivers and can drown out up to 42dB of noise around you. Buds Air 3 boasts an IPX5 rating and connects over Bluetooth 5.2 to any device. The earphones bring up to 30 hours of music playback with the charging case.

Realme is also advertising an 88ms low latency mode for gaming and dual device pairing letting you take calls on your phone while connected to your laptop for example. Buds Air 3 come in Galaxy White and Starry Blue colors and retail for €59.99.
