Most of the peeps here yapping about specs this & specs that don't even utilize up to 40% their functionalities. Neither have they set eyes on this phone nor have a first hand experience with it.
Nokia X has been well optimised & serves its purpose duly as a budget phone.
Stop badmouthing the phone if you ain't used it.

AnonD-209094, 11 Apr 2014Thats theoretical talk, an iPhone hater would rather have a 5s than a cheap stuttering android... moreDo you think that people use logic to buy things? most of the time, most people don't use any logic, it's all about emotions, many research studies and books talk about how to manipulate people to push them and make them buy things that they don't need, that is the job of marketing.

And once again, it's not about the specs, you should use the phone before you make a finale judgment, maybe Nokia was able to optimize the operating system to make it work with low specs.

And i'm one of those who thinks that high-end smartphones are just waste of money, i prefer this Nokia to any high-end Android or iPhone.

This phone seriously need some good launcher.
The stock launcher seems really dated, doesn't look like Android at all.

Maybe Launcher8 will do justice, make it looks more like WP, heh

Anonymous, 10 Apr 2014The lack of Google services is an advantage for me. I like android, but despise Google service... moreWell said, im with you on that. I dont like Google Maps much, i just could not accept that it closed on me when i declined to share my location with google. I have nothing to share with those intrusive advertisers, if someone stop me while driving and insist i cover my car in ads and share everything with them before i can continue then i take another road, and thats what i did.

Those who want a cheap phone but dont like Android, this Nokia X is not the answer, wait for Foxconn's BlackBerry Z3, will cost a little bit more but great specs and performance and the best OS.

AdamBoy64, 11 Apr 2014Just that there's more to a phone than the specs. If someone hates the interface, then all th... moreThats theoretical talk, an iPhone hater would rather have a 5s than a cheap stuttering android with a severely subpar display and extreme lack of RAM, no matter how much he like the interface. Thats just a fact, people can adapt.

A samsung hater would gladly use an S5 instead of this, even i would, when REALITY ask you to chose its time to use the head and not the heart, then you will go for teh better phone no matter how much you hate the brand or OS.

You can adapt to iOS or what ever you hate the most but you cannot adapt to poor performance, i have tried that already when my flagship phone was destroyed in accident, the result was that i stopped using 90% of smartphone features, the spare phone had them but the performance was so poor that it was a waste of time. And that was a 512MB dual core Cortex A9 with excellent display, much better than this Nokia X. Same goes for tablet, i dont like Apple at all but im using my head and will buy an iPad Air for my daughter now. The biggest mistake was that we bought Android tablet last time, i like Android but the tablet was utterly useless, aint making that mistake again.

If you think you be happier with Nokia X than with a high end samsung or whatever brand you hate the most then you are just talking out of your pride and not from your brain.

If someone hates the interface, then all the high-end specs won't be able to help.

i was playing with this phone two weeks ago. the UI sucks and it doesn't support native 3G video call. so these X won't replace my good old glorious Symbian-powered Nokia N8.
why Nokia? why no support for native video call anymore?

Anonymous, 10 Apr 2014Who needs this? Seriously?! So much better, budget options out there..... Apparently ZenFone is close to a direct competitor, but I can't think of any others at this price range.

For sure, you can say this phone sucks though, in the same way I can say Android sucks.

I wish it had tri-band 3G.
Really. How much more expensive would it make the device...

Instead, it just limits the markets the device can reach.
What a shame.

AnonD-237024, 10 Apr 2014Specs judge a product all together. If they are low, then the product is ok, but not good. If ... moreI'd say specs are a part of what determines whether a device is good. Probably 50% at most.

Things like battery performance and design make up the other 50%.
