I think it's a great phone overall. And when it comes to the sample images, I honestly would have to disagree w/ the word "high" image noise. There could be some, but based on a closer inspection, I didn't find plenty of it. But since it's not the final firmware, it's better to wait for the final one.

It's been two weeks and I still can't decide between those two.I am leaning towards the platinum but I will wait for some unboxings to have a closer look.Lighting conditions weren't the best at IFA.

Now look at Sony Mobile Blog when they in fact explain what they mean in the description.
About the 5-axis stabilization the description says this:
"Now with 5-axis stabilization you can shoot smoother videos[iii] even when walking or capturing extreme close-ups[iv]."
And what the footnotes mean:
"[iii] 5-axis stabilization feature is only available in Full HD video resolution
[iv] 5-axis stabilization is activated only when the camera recognizes macro video. Other situations will be recorded as 3-axis(pitch/yaw/roll) only"
See?
Only in video with 3-axis, only a very specific scenario uses 5-axis, and no word about it being physical.

No, is not.
When you look on official Sony websites that describe the camera they are very clear, in the footnotes, in stating that this camera has DIGITAL/SOFTWARE stabilization using the information provided by the gyroscope, when filming, and ONLY in 3-axis. It's only in the very specific situation where the camera understand that you are trying a micro-shot of something that the camera adds the extra 2-axis information.
So, its all a marketing stunt, like "triplet sensor".
Ridiculous.

Finally worthy upgrade over my Z2! I hope camera software will be optimized and sound will be louder in headphones. Lossless audio will be also welcomed.

I guess some people do like the square form, but I'm certainly not one of them and it's nice to be able have a comfortable grip.

So their camera STILL has the usual Sony-type of oversharpening and artefacts... Unbelievable! Will they ever learn? I'm also betting that it produces a clean, but VERY low-volume audio output result when they test it on the final review... Because who would learn from their past mistakes, right? Sigh. Next year this happens all over again and again, and again.
