Guaranteed OS updates for 2 years & security updates for 3 years is really very tempting. I hope the price is kept in check since it is SD 835 inside the Sirocco.
I understand that the Sirocco could have been launched with the SD 845 but the 835 is still more than enough for an average user for the next 4 years starting from 2018.
Let's just hope that the price is kept competitive like the V30+ in India i.e. 45k INR.
750€ for this Nokia when mi6 costs 350$ and mix2 is 450...no thanks
Makk4096, 26 Feb 2018Thanks for the info. So if the 7+ & 8 Sirocco are launching with Oreo 8.0, then will the u... more2 major updates. P and Q.
3 years security update. So after Q, you still get monthly update just before the R.
Keep in mind, the guaranteed 2 year major update doesnt mean Nokia wont give out the R. If they are kind enough, Android R will be availabe as third major update.
i see that nokia come back with perfect device with guaranted 3 years update and strong body and good screen . but i always wait for a phone with 41 mp camera
A perfect lineup, much better than last year's. We still hope for Nokia 10 to deal the real blow that gonna shock the world as Nokia 808 before.
Nokia 7plus is very good phone with complete package. But for me it looks too big.. 5.2"-5.5" would have been more perfect. I'm using Nokia 6(2017) for god sake I hate it's bezels and 5.5"screen size. Can't use it with one hand. Really uncomfortable..
Nokia 8 is compact but No OIS in camera is a really big disappointment.. how one can omit that in their upgraded version when the predecessor has it.. thought GSMArena missed it but Nokia site also doesn't list it. They should have offered OIS on all 3cameras.. it is must at this point of time and price.. If it has OIS for both rear camera definitely I'll go for Nokia 8sirocco..
really disappointed.. other than that it was really complete package..
Satya, 26 Feb 2018All of them have the 3.5mm jack....that's sweet.there's no jack port on nokia 8 sirocco. maybe because the phone is slightly thin from the nokia 8 and so it doesn't have the jack port but nokia will give us the usb c to jack adaptor on retail box instead
Pnikh89, 26 Feb 2018Updates for 3 years with gaurantee of next two Android Deserts. Thanks for the info. So if the 7+ & 8 Sirocco are launching with Oreo 8.0, then will the update scheme be like
1. Oreo 8.1
2. Android P
or will it be
1. Android P
2. Android Q?
I often read things like : "Mediatek, no update"
Proof here that it depend of OEM!
Mt6737 was released with Android 6.0
Nokia brings you one with Oreo!
Anonymous, 26 Feb 2018Sony on the fall, nokia on the rise! You got that bro. Sony is falling like hell because of some issues of Sony phones last year especially the TV remote problem.
But let's not talk about Sony or Apple, Nokia has done an improvement over last year for selling 8.5million phones altogether. And according to the data analysis, Nokia 6 received the most fan favorite, durable smartphone and the most affordable phone of 2017!!!!
I hope and pray that this year we shall see the another improvement of Nokia this year. Apart the flagship of upcoming Nokia 10 that may change everything in the camera department, doing selling well in overall is the real key to success for a typical phone department.
Im in love with the 7+.. It catches my heart like a lightning..
Soon will be release with Android one also
This will be the best replacement for my mia1...
Soon my friend..soon
If the new Nokia phones are coming with Android One platform, then for how long will HMD/Nokia update these phones especially the 8 Sirocco since it is their supposed flagship as of now.
Can anyone help me understand how many OS & Security updates will the 8 Sirocco will receive.
Oh & yeah, the 7+ & 8 Sirocco are beautifully amazing phones. I may be getting either one for myself. Thank you Nokia!
