AnonD-2663, 19 Feb 2012It's almost comical when I see people using these large screen phones (4.65+"). The truth... moreI got one over 3 months ago, and it was the fact that it acts as a mobile digitizer with the Wacom S pen that I got it. The size is exactly that of an A6 Moleskine notebook I use to sketch on-location with that I can pocket easily. The Note is actually even thinner! For us who sketch, this is revolutionary! I use it beyond phone functions, internet browsing and entertainment. It is and does more than any other mobile device. Sorry if you can't relate!
Gadgety, 19 Feb 2012Is the glass half full or half empty? "Won't fit comfortably in every pocket" Co... moreConsidering the size of most waist line in the USA, I don't see a problem with pocketing the Galaxy Note. Korea may be, but not the Americas,
I have a Note and while it is good gadget for video and camera it is clearly over rated for what it can actually do, as opposed to what people think it can do, and it is over priced. It is far from being a netbook replacement, so just be realistic with why you are buying this device. You can get a really good netbook for the same price.
I have the international version and it's way better than any other phone I've tried. Oh and it fits nicely in my pocket. :)
The phone shown in the video of drawing in Galaxy note is actually the first galaxy note and not the Galaxy Note I717. i was actually looking for any improvement over the first galaxy note in the S-pen performance. Could you also provide a comparison on performance between 2 galaxy note versions on the processing power front?
It's almost comical when I see people using these large screen phones (4.65+"). The truth of the matter is that most smartphone buyers (around 98%) don't need, or even want, something as hideously large as the Note.
Is the glass half full or half empty?
"Won't fit comfortably in every pocket" Could have been written as "Will fit more comfortably in pockets than a larger tablet." So whether it is a disadvantage or an advantage is dependent upon your frame of comparison.
A pocket sized tablet is the niche that Samsung has discovered - with phone functionality and pen input. Had Sammy stayed within the logic of fitting into every pocket the Note wouldn't exist.
Samsung Galaxy Note is the best phone on the market at the moment.Period.
