is the camera good or not because loads of people are saying it is crap and then loads of people are saying it is great please just tell me honestly or someone send me a picture cause i dont want to watse my money on a phone that the pictures are ubbish on please please please help me!!

Hello,
I have also brought the Samsung D500 its ok! I didn't think it would be as big as it is, as i had a siemens sl55 before that's May-be why it feels big to me...
I really don’t like the camera my photos look very light, I took a few photos at home and outside and they are still very light even after changing the contrast, and the other thing I don't like is a lot of my friends asked me straight away if the mobile is my husbands phone because of the colour, I wish Samsung made different colours such as RED!!
I would really think twice about buying one if you only want it for the camera! they are very poor
But it can record up to 60 mins of video, but you can't add a memory card! This is hard because you will have to delete some videos you have recorded earlier if you want to record 60 mins.
And for $999.00 dollars I could have brought a Nokia 6600 and added a memory card and for a lot cheaper!

Hi, I just got this phone and it is awsome!! I just have one question. I'm using the phone with T-mobile here in US, is there a way I can program t-mobile T-zone to the phone? I can't log on to the internet and can't download photos, ringtones and games. Any info will be much appreciated.

I find the process to download MP3 files from my computer to the D500 via a USB cable very tedious with the Easy Studio and D500 Handset programs provided with the phone. After a week of trying to get it to work, the phone can still not download MP3 via the cable, and seem to use only .MIDI or .mff files as ringtones. Please give me advise on how to get this process to work. Thank you.

To view the .3gp files, u can use real player 10, but u will need to download the codec for that filetype.

The video format of most phones nowadays can be played back in regular Quicktime players.
Including the d-500.

Hi.. when videoing using D500, it is saved in a format with extension .3gp right..? Anyone know whether wad player can i use to view my videos..? thanks..

To the person that said it makes sounds each time you confirm anything. This can be changed with the settings. Check your manual.

i have had this phone for about a week now got to say first of all i'm not impressed with the camera quality for 2 reasons really, (1 the colours look washed out, even on my 6230 the colours are brighter and vivid and (2 when you capture a picture and it displays it on screen the phone saves the picture as if you were standing back about 5 feet away from the subject thus the picture looks smaller once taken compared to what you see on the view finder before you take the picture. Video is clearer than on the 6230 but unfortunately they are more jerky than 6230. Infrared and bluetooth is very good works every time. Bluetooth is especially good on d500 as you can browse files in another persons phone from the D500 and choose what files you want to take while browsing unlike Nokia where you can only send and receive but not browse files. This means the D500 is very good for criminal endeavours such as bluetooth jacking should you choose to take up this opportunity. Not that i condone or encourage it!
Phone is good but not ground breaking there are still a good few problems that need to be ironed out i.e D500 seems to have a bug when you disconnect from bluetooth. It will turn off and reboot before it allows you to fully turn off bluetooth, this happens more than less about 7 out of 10 times. Also ringing volume starts of low then goes to normal pitch when you get a call. Phone also makes anoying unnecessary noise every time you confirm a opperation such as when you save, or turn off or on any function or, lock and unlock or press yes or no. Not a phone to be using in the office or a library or if you basicly just want to be discreet which is quite ironic as the call volume starts of almost undetectable when you need to hear it for a vast amount of rings before you can hear it. Other than that its a good phone but is over hyped because of its style and looks and becuase it is a slide out phone. If it never was a slide phone but instead in a standard Samsung candy bar form it would not be so popular.

i just got a sgh d500 and i want 2 ask something regarding the camera..what pixels should i use so that i can get the best quality for taking pictures? i honestly think that the picture is not that good, it's kinda dark, not like the other nokia phones.. should i change something from the settings? for me, the picture is not clear. not very good. wat can i do? pls help me.
