Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20 prices leak

Samsung Android Rumors

Samsung's Galaxy M10 and M20 have been leaking left and right lately, ahead of their official unveiling on January 28. One detail that hasn't been convincingly outed so far is how much they are going to cost.

Today from "a source close to Samsung's pricing strategy" for the upcoming Galaxy M series comes news that the M10 will start at only INR 8,990 in India. That's about $126 or €110 at the current exchange rates. The M20 on the other hand will start at INR 12,990 ($182 or €160). That's definitely some bold pricing right there, but Samsung has no choice since it's feeling a lot of pressure in the subcontinent from Chinese brands such as Xiaomi and Realme.

The new Galaxy M line is expected to replace the previous Galaxy J, Galaxy C, and Galaxy On families in a bid to simplify the company's smartphone roster. A previous rumor suggested the M10 would cost INR 7,990 and the M20 would go for INR 10,990, but apparently that's not realistic, nor is the March 5 release date for the two, reported by the same outlet. Hopefully Samsung won't let more than a month pass between the official announcement of these devices and their actual availability in the market.

The Galaxy M10 will sport a 6.2-inch HD+ display with Infinity-V notch, a 13 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera system, a 5 MP selfie snapper, the Exynos 7872 SoC with hexa-core CPU, 2/3 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of storage, and a 3,400 mAh battery. It will run Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Galaxy M20 will boast a 6.3-inch FHD+ touchscreen (also with an Infinity-V notch), the Exynos 7885 chipset at the helm, 3GB of RAM, 32/64 GB of storage, the same rear cameras as the M10, an 8 MP front-facing shooter, and a 5,000 mAh battery.

To be fair, i actually like this infinity v display. the notch is very small and practically unnoticeable. Samsung should go for the design in their next flagship rather than a bloody whole in the screen.
