My black Snapdragon Note 4 arrived about 3 hours ago to replace my Note 3. :-)
A few initial thoughts are:
1) Build quality and looks are first rate. The stitching on the back is gone, the metal is a dark grey apart from the silver bevels. The wobble in the home button is gone but the volume rocker has a slight wobble. It feels and looks thinner.
2) Gapgate isn't an issue. There is no difference compared from the Note 3 apart from the 2.5D glass "rolling" into the edge which may create the illusion of a gap. There is no way i can fit anything along the edge.
3) The screen is AWESOME. It is considerably whiter, brighter, has better viewing angles and is better in sunlight than the Note 3.
4) The QHD screen resolution increase is only noticeable on the smallest of webpage text and then only just.
5) The speaker has good volume but the quality isn't great. Not an issue as i use headphones.
6) Fingerprint scanner works well but can't be rushed.
7) The left key functions (settings and recent apps) have now been switched which is painful.
8) Most apps and menus are now white not black. It looks better but may use more battery. Menus are generally laid out better.
I will do a more detailed review after a day or 2 of use.
My country got the H version of Note4 which I'm using now.
This version didn't have LTE, limited to H+ only.
I don't understand why but our network infrastructure can only reach 600kBps in H+.
And my version is exynos one and it's working okay.
The only flaw I saw in this phone is the gap, it's not a big problem but it clearly show that there was problem in their screen manufacturing. It only fit 98% to the body, and the gap is on the right. And also the headset speaker got gap on right, althought only 0.2mm probably. But overall I'm happy cause I'm switching from windows phone. Now I had all popular apps.
The last problem is, LINE messenger lagging while scrolling sticker list.
It's probably the developer problem tho.
AnonD-77443, 12 Nov 2014TN, you stole my point :-)
My Note 4 is on board with the courier and will get here today. ... moreYeah, I did steal the MacDonald's analogy. It was floating in my mind. Credits to you. iPhone really is for the masses - the simpleton user's device which does just the basics, and needs to show that Apple logo. It just falls short of what we're used to with a Galaxy Note.
TheNeighbor, 12 Nov 2014Yeah, just like Toyota or MacDonald's sells a lot of their stuff too...
iPhone is is design... moreTN, you stole my point :-)

I ordered the international exynos version 4 weeks ago but they couldn't get stock. Ended up ordering the AU snapdragon version (N910G) which will work better with the 3G frequencies here.
AnonD-116479, 12 Nov 2014Indeed, the Mali t760 is better than the Adreno 420. But I really like the Nvidia and PowerVR ... moreNote 4 only uses the 6 core Mali t760 whereas Mali t760 can go upto 16 at which it'll blow the nvidia gx1 and the a8x custom gpu out of water.
Nvidia and powerVR high end GPU have very high TDP and hence are only used in tablets. You can see that Apple uses a8 for phones which has simila r performance as adreno 420.
Also there is Mali t860 which is even better.
satya, 12 Nov 2014Nico this is too much apple is more stable than any mobile so please stop bluffing here bcos ... moreNicos right, suppose apple managed to keep the stories from your tender eyes, you only need to google to blow away the sleep from them.
Nadia , 12 Nov 2014At least, Apple sold more iphone than shamsung noteYeah, just like Toyota or MacDonald's sells a lot of their stuff too...
iPhone is is designed for the masses. It's a mid-ranged functioning phone, with less features than a Galaxy Note. A Galaxy Note 3 beats the iPhone 6 series.
Anonymous, 12 Nov 2014Honestly asking, who is actually using this phone here? I heard the body build is really cheap... moreHa ha, you heard, you watched a you tube video. Superman can fly you know , I saw the video. You've a cheek to ask for real users to crab Samsung phones so you can try to help your favorite manufacturer to increase its puney sales.
Honestly asking, who is actually using this phone here? I heard the body build is really cheap, like the YouTube videos I've watched they always say the back cover is almost as light as paper. Someone else said it scratches very easily if u didn't put it in a cover. Can any real user admit or debunk all these claims?
Nico, 12 Nov 2014Iphones doesnt only lags it also force closeNico this is too much apple is more stable than any mobile so
please stop bluffing here bcos many people depend on this website before buying
Nadia , 12 Nov 2014At least, Apple sold more iphone than shamsung noteI don't really care about the no of units sold of a specific device. It's none of my business. For example, Toyota sells more cars than Ferari per year. So does it mean that Toyota cars are better than Ferari cars?
AnonD-80165, 12 Nov 2014Yes, textures don't scale not even in PC. The developer must include in the game build differe... moreIndeed, the Mali t760 is better than the Adreno 420. But I really like the Nvidia and PowerVR GPUs. Mali and Adreno GPUs are no match for them. The new PowerVR 7 series seems to be great. Imagine technologies employs 64x floating point which doubles the precision compared to 32x FP in the 6 series. Samsung should employ the PowerVR 7 series GPUs for their next Exynos chip.
I think AA filters in mobile games can't be customised. It should be embedded in the default settings. I'm not so sure about it.
Lim, 12 Nov 2014My iphone 6plus lags most of the time. My note 3 is betterI don't think u use iPhone. Sounds like a liar

I just got my Note4 last night and its really nice. going to set it up now
Ex samsung, 12 Nov 2014Note 4 is still new and it hasn't been received in some countries but there are rumours of not... moreAnd your point is..? The fact is, the Galaxy Note series has been and will always be the top device with many features than anything else.
Those two brands you mentioned don't even have multi-screen functionality that make use of large screens. More so none of them have Wacom systems.
