There have been some rumors and speculations about the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's battery capacity and charging speed. The 2026 Samsung flagship was said to support 65W wired charging, but we later heard that it would only go as fast as 60W, and it now appears that's what we will get with the final product.
Reliable tipster UniverseIce posted on X that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will charge faster than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which charged at up to 45W, but its charging speed will be capped at 60W.
Confirm again that the specifications of Galaxy S26 Ultra 60w are unchanged, not 45w.

Well, technically, that is an upgrade over the Galaxy S25 Ultra's 45W charging, but still nowhere close to what you get with the Chinese flagships. Not to mention that Chinese flagships also pack higher capacity Si/C batteries (6,000 mAh or more), while the Galaxy S26 Ultra was recently certified in China with a battery having a rated capacity of 4,855 mAh, meaning the advertised (typical) capacity will be around 5,000 mAh. Higher capacity Si/C batteries aren't a thing in Samsung's Galaxy after all.

It's also worth mentioning that UniverseIce's claim of 60W charging support for the Galaxy S26 Ultra contradicts a 3C certification from last week, which revealed the S26 Ultra would support 45W charging. Perhaps there were some developments later? Or maybe the Chinese model will charge more slowly than other versions for some reason? We should have more clarity in the coming weeks.
There's no surprise and it never will. They only cut corners, literally. No longer have the boxy screen luxury. Everything is too rounded
In fairness, PPS is a ubiquitous standard supports be countless third party chargers. There's a pretty good chance that if you bought a charger in the last 2-3 years that it'll already support 60W charging, in fact every single newer power ...
It's big lie. Chinese Si-Ca battery actually last longer in first 2-3 years than those from Samsung or iPhone. What will happen in 6-7 years is not important because you're not going to use one phone all that period. There's no degrada...
