Samsung Galaxy S26's charging speed may surprise you
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has long been rumored to up its wired charging capacity to 60W. The S26+ was supposedly staying at 45W just like the S25+, and the S26 at 25W like the S25. But today a new rumor claims the vanilla Galaxy S26 will actually go up to 45W, matching the Plus model.
Of course it remains to be seen what this means in practice in terms of an actual improvement in charging time, but it's a good move nonetheless. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ are both said to be using the Exynos 2600 chipset, though it's not mentioned whether it will make an appearance in some markets only. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is again rumored to go with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 instead, while the trio is said to be unveiled on February 25.

We can't verify the accuracy of this information, so do take it with a pinch of salt. That said, it's high time Samsung's least expensive flagship device moved past 25W, in a world in which its Chinese competitors have been at multiples of that for years.

This technology has been around for 5+ years? How much do you think it should be? 50? 500? It's pure greed. They don't want to pay more for a battery, as well as for R/D and supply chains. They have to invest literally hundreds of millions ...

The number doesn't matter, as Samsung phones offering 45W charging spend less than 1% of the charging time actually pulling more than 40 watts from the charger, and the majority of the time within the 15-30W range. Ever since they went from 25W ...

It's not exactly that, the thing is most people don't even have access to 25W, it takes a lot of time to any new improvement to reach the masses, until that point anything beyond the standard is not necessary for 90% of the users, 25W is go...
