Samsung Android Rumors

The Samsung Galaxy S7, bearing model code SM-S9520, bagged 3C certification last month, which revealed it will support 25W charging speed. Now, multiple Samsung devices, believed to be the Galaxy S27, have been certified by Denmark's UL Solutions (Demko), corroborating the charging speed.

The certificates for all models list ratings of 9V DC and 2.77A, which is 24.93W, meaning the devices will be advertised as supporting 25W charging. That's the same wired charging speed as the Galaxy S26 announced in February.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 also supported 15W wireless charging, and we expect the Galaxy S27 to charge wirelessly at the same speed. Whether the Galaxy S27 packs a 4,300 mAh battery, like the Galaxy S26, remains to be seen.

High charging speeds are kind of a lie because they barely reach the advertised speed for a minute or two. They could definitely improve it here, though.

For the first time in many years, I'll switch brands if the camera hardware isn't a significant upgrade on the S27.
