I don't feel the need of other tablet. Only playing light games, read news, socialize, pay bills...enough for regular use.

I've had this tablet since 2016 (coming close to 7 years now), and it still holding up. I like the size a lot, useful for reading, movies, even working.
I noticed the last year that software-wise it has been degrading (apps now randomly crash, some can't be installed at all), and some hardware issues (some overheating with some apps, can't connect to pc to get files out). Nothing major except for the random apps crashing, which can be annoying.
I'm looking for a replacement - but even going up the price range, I'm struggling to find something that is even a match while staying at this size (I've seen the suggestion for the iPad mini, but I don't want to get in the iOS ecosystem).

Anyone experiencing overheating on the SD variant? Mine throttles even when not gaming. About 32c room temperature and battery temperature 42c.

Need recommendation for a current tablet similar to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 which was a perfect fit for hand and briefcase, only weighed 9.35 oz, with a resolution of 2048 x 1535. Can't seem to find a newer technology one that good. Thanks....Ron

The original charger can do up to 10W. At some point I noticed long charging times, checked it in Ampere and was only getting 0.7W. Then I replaced the cable and got 6-7W. Try also replacing the cable, it may be damaged.
