Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 battery capacity and charging support leaks

Samsung Android Rumors

There are so many rumors around regarding Samsung's next-generation foldable smartphones that it's hard to tell what's what. Will there be two Fold6 models? If so, are those going to be a Fold6 and a Fold6 FE or a Fold6 and a Fold6 Ultra? Will there be even a Flip FE? The more rumors come up, the more questions we have.

This time around, a usually reliable source talks about the Fold6's battery, though it's unclear which Fold6 this is about. Anyway, the leakster known as Ice Universe claims that the Fold6 will have a 4,400 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. In a later reply to an X user, he also confirms this is "final", so no more changes should occur from this point on in the development stage of the device.

Regarding the Galaxy Z Fold6 battery, it is still 4400mAh and has a charging power of 25w.

If it feels like those numbers are familiar, it's because the Galaxy Z Fold5, launched last year, also has a 4,400 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. So, if this rumor pans out, it's bad news for those who were expecting Samsung to improve upon its larger foldable's battery capacity and make it support faster charging.

And it's not like it can't be done in this form factor - vivo's recently launched X Fold3 Pro has a 5,700 mAh cell that charges at up to 100W. So it seems like Samsung simply doesn't want to, for whatever reasons.

The Fold6 has been rumored to become official at the next Unpacked event, probably taking place in Paris in early to mid-July.

7 years software updates not going to make a phone explodes or suffers bloating battery. But, higher than 67w charging will make a battery bloates or explodes. Also, samsung gives warranty of 7 years for availability of spareparts.
