Samsung Symbian S60 Touch UI

What would it take for an HD-recording handset with a 3.7" AMOLED display to take the final step to perfection? If you answered an exclusive 24 karat gold edition we have some good news for you.

Samsung just unveiled the Gold Edition of their extremely popular Samsung i8910 Omnia HD multimedia monster. The Samsung i8910 Omnia HD Gold Edition (now that's a long name right?) features a luxurious new look inlaid with 24 karat gold and a package of special accessories.

The new accessories that will come along wth the Gold edition of Omnia HD are a leather case, a desktop cradle and a TV-out cable. Just don't expect the TV-out cable to transfer the HD videos in their full 720p glory. You can only do that over DLNA (if your TV supports it).

We have a couple of photos of each of the two versions of the Omnia HD Gold Edition. The color options are Chamapgne gold and Luxury brown and they will both be available any moment now.

The lucky markets to receive them include Singapore, Germany and the Middle East. There is no word on the pricing just yet, but if you are shopping for a gold-covered handset, that shouldn't be an issue at all, we guess.

Apart from the more luxurious outlook the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD Gold Edition doesn't bring any other changes. The functionality is perfectly identical to the original model.
