please answer if anybody know about
1 what is hard reset?
2 what change its bring to my phone?
3 what is the procedure of hard reset?
I have been a user of this phone for last 6 months and all I can say is there no match of this phone right now in the market in any aspects. I took two months to decide on this phone. Whenever I visited the store and tried to look at the other options, I failed. No other phone could impress me as much as this one.
I saw a lot of comments on battery, but having a beast like this you would expect to have such battery life. If battery is the concern, better switch on the data as and when required. Without data and wifi, I could use it just as a phone for more than 48 hours.
I have not used my notebook for last 6 months for emails, browsing, youtube and documentations.
If you want the best design, the best app experience, best performance, best screen, best android experience this is THE phone for you. Trust me, if you can shell out 30K INR or 700 USD, there is no better option than this.
The phone is quite awesome in terms of features and the android OS is a wow for me. However after downloading a new version of Samsung Kies to my laptop it suddenly made it very slow and hanging during bootup.
Samsung needs to make Kies with more features including making easy Internet connection with the phone modem.
quincy, 17 Feb 2012@s2iPk -- how much you both sgs2 here in the Philippines?? because you said that arc s is same... moreSorry to butt in but you're wrong. SGSII's price is higher than Arc/Arc S. I think Arc is below P20k right now and Arc is about P22k to P23k last time I checked the price on December. I bought my SGSII for P29k on a Samsung Shop (yes, a bit higher the price compared to other non-samsung shop that sells SGSII). I'm fine with the price higher because at least with a Authorised Samsung shop I'm secured that they have full scope with repairs and returns.
@s2iPk -- how much you both sgs2 here in the Philippines?? because you said that arc s is same price with the sgs2 right. So how much did you bought this phone and where you bought it?
Anonymous, 16 Feb 2012How will this cOmpare to the Sony Xperia s? S2 is almost a year old but they are the same price.choose s2,even though arc s has elegant screen s2 is just simple beatiful, natural but vivid and rich color, unlike arc s whita colors tend to be yellowish and the s2 is just accurate color,.s2 has more ram 1gb.beautiful camera,.and all you have read bout s2 s just accurate from reality.,the price is just the same so buy s2 ,.my were bought in iceland, android 2.3.5 version .,no lags,no hiccups just normal, its just like following your order .,im not a fan of any brand but were talking practicality here, were talking about our money.,so maximize .,goodluck ,.form philippines with love adios

Anonymous, 15 Feb 2012i also have the same problem, can anyone please tell me how to make the battery last longer?I think Samsung is kinda tweaking that in the ICS update which will be available next march. For now,use a medium brightness setting(or auto brightness if ur ok with it) and power saving mode.
This question is for Indian users.
Has anyone bought the extended battery of 2000MAH FOR sgs2?
How long does the phone last with that?
Is it available in India?
Anonymous, 15 Feb 2012i also have the same problem, can anyone please tell me how to make the battery last longer?first of all im a galaxy user and i can use 13 hours of heavy use (music all day) and have 11% left.
first of all brightness is down to low or visible
2nd i hacked it to make better user experience and lasts longer
third i bought a battery back 2000mah (official ones)which costs around 50 dollars or less
4th i turn off my data when i dont use it.
5th turn off gps. you dont need it all day
6th turn off auto sync like gmail etc and turn off weather refresh.
7th use the tast manager effectively. some games dont turn off when u press the home button and stays on wasting battery.
8th delete samsung apps(need to root which is a hack)
9th no live wall papers and no bright wall papers as it uses more battery power.

Yesterday I went to a Samsung store with my friend and I saw a Galaxy S2 so I tried it. I took a photo of a white table so I could see if it has a burn-in. I saw the burn in of the battery, signal, background & menu icons. My friend didnt believe me till he saw it. This phone has the BURN IN problem. I LOLed, and so did my friend. Im so glad I havent bought a GS.
The phone is awesome, but so expensive and it has burn in problems? No thx.
