Rlez, 15 Dec 2011Hi I know this might sound like a stupid question but I appreciate your response, I have sgs1 ... moreHello mate, a friend of mine also had Galaxy S and upgraded to S2. His opinion is that S2 is a real "beast" even compared to S. Go get it, you won't regret it too.
windows uses tiles instead of icons and claiming they made something out of the box, what is the difference between icons & tiles? they have exactly the same use. its just like a two lane set of icons. icons are even look more attractive & friendly to use than tiles. yes the wp7 transition is amazing but the ui as a whole is complicated. if only android tabs have all the functions & features offered by the windows 7 for computers or laptops, like print, snip, heavy realtime multi tasking, and many many more, i will not use my laptop anymore & stick with my tab, y? simply because its so easy to use. i wish there is android for computers & laptops too. because there are a lot of tasks or jobs that only computers powered with windows can do, so i have to transfer my documents or data to my computer to do it.
Hi I know this might sound like a stupid question but I appreciate your response, I have sgs1 and am thinking of upgrading to sgs2 but I want to know if there is a real improvement from sgs1 as I have not used a dual core phone before. Thank you in advance.

Download a software called Odin and the latest 2.3.6 ROM, KK5 from there, flash it. It's a 3 minutes process.
[deleted post]OTA? Are you kidding me?
Last update India got was 2.3.3 XWKF3, 6 months ago.
Don't expect any more updates for us. And forget OTA. OTA update is available only in very few countries like Poland etc.......
Samsung is Crap when it comes to after sales support, its fact, get used with it.
Anonymous, 15 Dec 2011For $400, this is the best phone. Sensation? Optimus? Xperia? Artrix? you name it.
It even ... more$400??? You must be joking!
This phone costs - unbranded - $600!
(actual price - everywhere: $599)
That actually means it is a great phone - on paper - let down by poor quality control and serious hardware (screen and camera) flaws.
The yellow tinting is there for everyone (who isn't fanatical) to see and the pink spot can be disguised by software tricks.
If I wanted my photos to have to go through software enhancing or photoshop, I wouldn't have paid $600!
With a much cheaper phone (even if it were a Samsung) I would have saved much money and I wouldn't have to face a faulty screen and have so many of my photos with a pink spot/blur in the middle.
This phone has disappointed many and its flaws are so evident that Samsung went back to a 5MP Camera and a regular Amoled screen (no longer an Amoled Plus) on their new phone, the Nexus.
I hope the Galaxy S3 won't be suffering from such problems. We're just a few months away from its release and consumers will not forget Samsung's mistakes.
The S2 would have sold MUCH better if it hadn't suffered from so many problems.
If you google "pink spot" or "yellow tint", you'll find literally thousands of references and descriptions of the S2's faults.
And that can't be denied and it's all evidenece Samsung will have to bear in mind to continue their success in the mobile phone market.
