One of my main concerns when upgrading from GS1 to GS2 was that I wasn't going to get that 'wow' factor - once you have a SAMOLED screen - it's difficult to go back, I recently looked at some friends' HTC screens - both a WM7 and Android one, and they were very dark and almost a bit washed out...
Considering the pixel count is exactly the same as GS1 with GS2 - they've definitely made it a) sharper and as a result b) brighter / clearer
It's easily the best screen on the market re: sunlight visibility - it's not perfect, but I'd shudder to think without SAMOLED screen how hard it would be to read in sunlight...
How do you go back from a screen like this? Maybe the new Xperia screen (Arc) is on par? But lacks in contrast?

There's a good app for wallpapers, ringtones etc. called 'Zedge '. You can search it in the android app site.
A quick battery tip. With the standard SG2 wallpapers the display was accounting for 40% plus of overall battery usage. I downloaded and am using wallpapers for lock screen and home screens that are less bright and are a bit darker in color. The battery usage for the display is now 25% and I can see a difference in battery life. So far, 14 hours and 10 minutes since last full charge and battery meter is showing 71%. Keep in mind my usage today could be considered light to moderate, but still an improvement.
Give it a try and see if it helps.
[deleted post]There are no issues with SGS2 other than heating while playing high end graphics games ... the battery life is a bit low, and this is expected with such a phone ... the call quality and speaker quality is very good ... even the earphones are good ... there are no issues with this for me ....

Ur holding the most powerful gadget to date, you just need to explore them and KNOW how to use them. Its afterall called a smartphone. Especially ur issue about texting, that problem of urs is caused by the fact that ur only knowledge around phones is thru ur keypad. If u want to edit a text, just touch that specific text and ur there. No need to press the key so many times.
My advise, read ur guidebook instructions. Android is user friendly. Be openminded to what more ur device can do.It a whole new world I tell u. I was like that when i switched from my N95 to my first touchscreen smartphone. But it took mejust a day to know my way around.
This phone voice quality not as good as iphone 4 and phone speaker not loud enough.Battery drain very fast than iphone 4 even you are not a heavy user.

Started exploring t... moreAs to your first point, the total memory you mention 13.4GB, as for the remaining 2.6GB I'm pretty sure this is due to the storage space used for the Android OS and preinstalled apps.
Regarding your second point, are you sure you have a memory card installed? Without a memory card the storage option will be grayed out in the settings.

Hi All, I bought this phone yesterday from Sangeetha Mobiles in Bangalore. Started exploring the features, hopefully will get complete idea over the weekend. I've couple of queries.
1. On the box it says 16GB Memory, but when I checked in the phone it shows Total USB Storage as 11.50 GB and Device Memory as 1.90 GB. Can somebody please explain why is it not showing 16GB?
2. I'm unable to switch the STORAGE in camera options to store either videos or pcitures. Guide me please.
3. I'm unable to signout of Gtalk and Gmail on the phone. It looks like signed out, but when I open them back it signs in automatically. I know it was a bug in Froyo, but since this is Gingerbread is there a fix or some settings I need to change to manually sign into gtalk?
Please please somebody help me!!!!
Regarding the call quality, I read it here:
The Samsung Galaxy S II is clearly the smartphone of choice for those who simply want the most power. Its 1.2GHz dual core processor and bold-and-brash 4.3in screen really combine well to create a truly captivating, fast and eye-popping smartphone experience, especially if you like watching video on the move. It's not perfect, with call quality being particularly poor, and we prefer our phones a bit smaller and more ruggedly built. But nonetheless, its strengths are so compelling as to still earn a firm recommendation.
hey freinds hier are Galaxy S2 Aecceries ,
i bpught MHL and HDMI Adapter, working perfect
I have good picture on my S2 when Im surfing or looking att video on internet but not when Im streaming video from my computer. This must be a bug wich samsung not expected.
My only concern in buying this is its resolution. Am an owner of samsung wave and it too has the same resolution(480*800) even though only a 3.3 inch screen. I am not buying too much into the pentile matrix explanation and the change it brings. Current users please share your experience with me because i am very much interested in this mobile. Owned a superamoled device and so won't be satisfied with anything less...:)
