For U600 users, can you plz tell me if you can answer and hang up a call by just pressing the buttons? Or do you have to slide the phone in order to answer? Thanks!
Oh what a great phone introduced by Samsung. This does not have any negative points. I just purchased a few days before. Good screen, bold numerical figures. Especially when one is growing old in age, this phone's screen and numericals is excellent. Easy to use. I had been using Nokia but that does not meet my old age difficulties. Nokia is bulky and bigger in size. This phone is hardly 81 gms. and 2 inch screen with bright effects is really wonderful. Nice look too. I hardly find any much difference with U-700 eventhough there is more than $100 difference in cost. When I saw U-700 in steel shade, it looked horrible. It appeared as Indian's tobacco's box. Anyhow, no comments, its individual choice. I am satisfied with U-600 and its brilliant with its features. Well Done- Samsung. I love it.....By SKK
its a really good phone, actually its the first time i got a samsung.the only thing tha i hate with this phone is the ringing volume, its not that high,i heard other samsung mobiles ringing much louder than this one.anyway its a good phone.
I purchased this phone just a week before. Its wonderful. Its keyboard has absolutely no problem and easy to use. The feather touch outer four keys on the sliding out below & on the screen are also very comfortable. It does not create any problem comparing the LG Chocklate which is very very sensitive.Being a older personl, its screen of 2.2" and the display numerical numbers are very comfortable. Its friendly and easy to operate. I had Nokia N-72, its numerical numbers are so difficult to read for a older person and the screen is also small besides its heavy weight. U-600 is 81 grams, very convenient to slide in your pocket without feeling the bulging out of your even front shirt pocket. The displays are excellent and comfortable to read. I love this phone. I wanted to buy U-700 but the difference in cost by more than 100 US Dollars did not find worth. Thanks Samsung. Sender: Satish
Yes the U600 does have vibrate/ring on ringtone but not on messages. You can have your own tone for incoming text message. My Battery lasts three days and i use phone for text, calls and games. You can NOT get rid of the operators logo.I have had D900 and D600 before this and the U600 outclasses them both its a BRILLIANT phone.

The batery life is very poor...I must charge my every day.
Thanks Leo, work a treat. But couldnt get rid of the carrier logo, I think its set.
I think it is better you buy u600.
battery life .as I know you should charge it once a day!
hey. I like this phone but i have read here some posts saying that battery lasts max 24 hours . is this true ? i have at the moment a s-e k800i . should i keep this one ? respond quickly
To Dan,
To remove the carrier's name just set the idle text display to off. To show the location name, go to messages-settings-broadcast messages-receive,make it enabled.
Cheers. Samsung U600 rocks.
I own this phone and the video is magnificent I dont care what the quality is reduced to. There's still no better video phone than samsung on the market. The quality is astonishing. I owned the d900 and I can say the video is better or equal to it. Only thing is the phone has the touch buttons that can get annoying getting used to
Ok ive had this phone for 3 weeks and its great just needed time to get used to the touch screen buttons but i still prefer my sony ericson k800i.it may be old but i have still not found a phone that can beat it:D not even the u600
