Samsung's 65W USB Power Delivery charger has gotten another certification - this time with the German TUV SUD authority.
The charger, model number EP-TA865, has already been certified in South Korea and was pictured. We know it supports Programmable Power Supply and can top up devices at up to 20V and 3.25A (making 65 Watts).
But we don't know when this charger will become available to the general public, nor what device will be able to take advantage of its power. The Galaxy S21 series support up to 25W (with the EP-TA800 adapter) and Samsung has the 45W (EP-TA845) adapter that's currently sitting around doing nothing.
Perhaps Samsung will bring 65W charging to its fall flagships - the Galaxy Note21 and/or Galaxy Z Fold3. But it's more than likely those won't get a charger in the box anyway, so you'll need to purchase the speed-king charger separately.
I'd buy from a 3rd party out of spite. Like Anker or RAVPower. Just not from the vendor who removed the damn charger from the box.
