to clar: the walkman is the biggest difference then 2MP camera for the W800i, K700i is only VGA.
to jamie: turn the phone in silent mode so you wouldn't hear the shutter sound.
to everyone: i still love this phone. you know the feeling when everyone says: oh, ah, and wow when they see your phone... and they are just dazzled by all its features. i can't even believe myself that it's my cellphone. ;-)

if d600 is more expensive it doesn't mean that it's better; just see, SE s700 is like 400 more expensive than W800 and of ourse it is not better... think before talk

to somebody that can help me, what is the basic difference with w800i from k700i, aside from the basic:
-memory stick
-internal memory
-phone outlook
i once inquiried this, for k700i can also play mp3 though-????

samsung d600 is not 2MP camera; it's like 1.9x (1600 x 1200)

Does w800's autofocus make a real difference in the picture, how close would you have to be for it to matter? The buttons are so tiny it would seem difficult to press any of them halfway. What happens if you just press the photo button down hard all the way, are all shots automatically autofocused?
What percentage of w800 owners actually carry around their earphones everywhere? Seems like a pain to have to do that. I want to have the most and best features on my cell phone because I rarely use it for calls and would want it mostly for a high quality 2mp camera and videocamera. The 4x better cif video of the Samsung d600 makes it desirable, but is it worth $200 more than w800? Nonbusy kids and people who don't have cars would benefit from radio/mp3 players while walking, hanging out, or taking public transportation. But how many people who drive everywhere actually have time to listen to the mp3 player or radio in their w800? Those people are going to have better audio/entertainment options in their home/car and when I go out to bars or clubs or movie theaters or pretty much anywhere else that's not the time to listen to music either. I might spare 10 minutes a week while waiting for a movie to start when I'd actually have time to listen to music and even then I always bring a newspaper to read while waiting for previews, and that's only because I like to watch 2 movies in a row. I guess it's good to have w800 for plane trips but then I like to sleep the rare times I fly. Really, is there a compelling reason for ipods/mp3+radio phones for anyone over 22 or those who have car stereos and home theaters, or does d600's 4x better cif video make it much more useful to typical adult users than w800?

anybody know what the preset security pin is? it was apparently 1111 but it isnt.

Update the phone with SEUS, sounds like the memory stick bug. Or copy files yourself using the windows explorer, dump them in the mp3 folder/artist/album

Yeah ; like Paul I am a little bit surprised with these "vaporising" music !
I use the recommended Disc2phone to transfer music, but still many of the track are simply not there... ?! Can Anyone Help please :)

I love this phone and I will buy it definnaly however as everything in the world is not 100% this phone got something that should had thought twice in the process of devoloping it : the video - WHY IT DOESN´T RECORD WITH 352X288 LIKE SAMSUNG E720 OR D600 AND PLAY VIDEO IN MPEG4 FORMAT, apart from this 2 points this phone is great I just dont ´know why if the phone had this it would have beat nokia n90 an n70 ( in video guality ) - but it´s ok

Hi, everybody there!
I' ve got a question for...anyone who will be so kind to answer and solve my doubt! I' ve just buoght the mobile, and it behaves in a quite strange way: if I let it rest for a while (say, few seconds),the standby mode starts in order to save the battery and the display gets balck, thus making near impossible to distinguish the clock! Now, the question at hand is: is this a firmware/hardware bug, or is it a 'normal' behaviour?
